Happy 4th of July! We are celebrating the American Independence Day in Panama! We are having a “traditional barbecue” with BBQ chicken, baked beans and the fixings. It seems strange to not be looking forward to fireworks and burgers.
We have been working on the demolition of an old church building in the adjoining village as we wait for our building supplies to arrive from the mainland. It has been a blessing to the pastor to have help busting up the concrete walls.
Evening team devotions are always a special time. So far this week we have heard from Brittany, Jessica and Nellie.
We had a big rain storm last night but the sun is shining today and there is a nice breeze to keep us cool
Please continue to pray for safety and good health for the team. Some battled stomach issues this week after enjoying too many coconuts on Sunday
We miss you all and especially miss mail from home. We will not get our mail until we return to Panama City at the end of our time here.
Thank you for your prayers.
From Natalie: it’s the 4th of July! Our work project is going good. We only worked a half day today. We are going swimming in the Caribbean this afternoon!
