We have experienced an incredible week here in the tri-state area (Indiana, Illinois & Kentucky). So far, together with the Scotland team, we have had conversations with over 600 people with nearly 40 praying to confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior. To God be the Glory! The Indiana team has surprised their leaders with their boldness right out of the ‘starting gate’. While many turn their heads or ignore our advances, there are still those God has prepared for this Divine Appointment. We have been performing the dramas (Colors and Battleground) and the Puppet skits in addition to handing out balloons, Wordless bracelets and Gospel coloring books. The crowds are also grateful for our free ice water… especially parents. Several of the team members have been privileged to pray with someone to receive Christ. We are also struck by how many, young and old, freely admit that they are lost and headed for hell yet are not ready to give up certain things to follow Jesus. It breaks our hearts.
On Wednesday, the team had a work day and performed maintenance jobs on the life-sized replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle that is here on display through the summer. They had great attitudes and worked hard. On Thursday and Friday our team plans to cover all three fairs while the Scotland team does their work project for TTT, our host ministry. On Saturday, we are planning to attend a youth summit together with local youth groups and enjoy additional training and good food. On Sunday we are scheduled to share in churches in both the morning and evening services.
It has been a busy but very fruitful week for team Indiana. We are grateful for your prayers and for God’s protection over the hundreds of miles already traveled. Here are a few testimonies from the team:Aaron Wiggins – So far, God has done great things in our team. Yesterday, while at the fairs, it was discouraging because there were less people, but God does amazing miracles. We prayed that a lot of people would come and God made a way. We talked to 63 people and two of them made a decision for salvation. The team has been growing spiritually through this experience and that is a blessing. I love you mom and my family!Amber Carroll – I have been learning quite a lot of new things this summer, I’ve gotten the chance to grow more in my walk with God so that I could be able to share more about God with people who don’t know about Him. I’ve been able to share God with a couple of people at the fairs. Most of the people that I’ve talked to told me that they are already saved and only a couple said they wouldn’t go to Heaven. Everything is going pretty good with my team. Sometimes we get hit with lots of stuff from the devil and sometimes I just want to give up and go home, but times will always get tough. I’ve just got to trust in God. I am really glad that I chose to come here this summer or I wouldn’t have a chance to meet all these amazing people and just grow more in my walk with the Lord.
