We had a great week. We have been helping with a VBS for the local church that we attended on Sunday. There were 30 kids on Monday and then it climbed to about 60 by Wednesday. It was really great to see our kids mix with the local kids in Bible stories, songs and in playtime.
Meanwhile back at the base, the rest of the team was mixing concrete and making more sidewalks. We also cleared several areas for future quiet devotion spots.
The weather has been typical , hot and sunny with an occasional rainstorm which we work through, because as soon as it starts it is over. Sometimes though it really rains hard and we have to stop. Thank the Lord, the nights are cool so it is easier to sleep.
Last night, Wednesday we all had a treat, we had pizza.
The kids are doing really well and growing in the Lord and maturing. Our missionary hosts are both pleased and surprised at the quality and quantity of the work that has been accomplished. It has been quite the experience, because here at the base we have no electricity, and that means when the sun goes down, all we have are flashlights, so bedtime has been right around 9:00 PM.
Caleb had a birthday and we celebrated by giving him a slice of pizza with a candle on it and sang “Happy Birthday”.
Time has gone by so fast here, only two more weeks till we are back in Florida. God is so good, all the time.
Micah 7:7 Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
