As we spend our last few days here in Honduras, there is an odd feeling running through most of the team members. Happiness that they will see all of you soon and sadness that their time here in Honduras has come to an end. Some have even expressed concern about the decisions they feel they have to make when they get home. It’s not easy making right choices. When you decide to live your life one way and then find out how wrong you have been, the Holy Spirit begins pointing out changes that need to be made. It’s still up to them to make those decisions. For those who have direct contact with the team members on this team and have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, I bring you this charge: Help them to understand that their youth is not a hindrance to their faith, but an opportunity to be examples. In 1 Timothy 4:12 it says, “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” They do not have to wait till they get older to live a life dedicated to Christ. They don’t have to wait till they have a degree or wait for a husband or a wife. They don’t have to be a Pastor to present salvation to lost. The gift they have in Jesus Christ is for them to share. Encourage them to share. I enjoy everyone of these youth and pray that each one of them will serve full time as presenters of the Gospel in whatever direction God takes them. This team has accomplished a lot. They were able to put all of the trusses up on the building and see many come to a saving relationship with Christ. It was difficult for some at times (growing pains always hurt), but they will come out with a better understanding of Gods standards.
to the other teams as well as a presentation that will be recorded for them to have. May the Lord bless you.
