Their Time In Indiana Is Winding Down

“Ye are the light of the world.  A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” – Matthew 5:14

As the summer is coming to an end, the team is becoming more and more like a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. The kids are increasing not only in boldness but also in wisdom as they continue sharing the gospel of Christ with unsuspecting fairgoers. And while not everyone we speak to accepts Christ as their personal Savior as a result of speaking to us, many have left our booth impressed by what they see in the team and curious about what makes us so different from other people they’ve come across in life. So far, we’ve interviewed 2538 people, handed out 529 bibles, and seen 167 lost sinners accept the truth of the gospel of Christ.
Tuesday was a strange day for the team – we were rained out of the fairs and wound up having an unexpected off day that we spent at the TTT base in Evansville fellowshipping and preparing for when we could go back out into the fray. The Lord knew we needed a day to ourselves, and the opportunity to spend a day together as a team with no distractions was a true blessing.
On Wednesday we were back to our regular schedule. Half of our team went to the Lawrence County Fair, and the other to the White County Fair – both in Illinois. The day was muggy and the fairs were on the smaller side traffic-wise, but the Lord brought about many amazing opportunities for good conversations, handing out Bibles and spreading the gospel. We only have five more fair days left – we can’t believe the summer is going by so fast! – and that means only five more days to share with the people (as far as the fair-share goes). Pray with us that God will increase our opportunities, and increase the harvest. Pray with us that He will prepare the hearts of the people He will have us to meet, and that He would allow us to lead more and more people to Christ. We are proud of our team – for they are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, and are bravely sharing despite the temptation to hang back and let strangers pass by. Praise the Lord for the Indiana team!
So this is our last full week at the fairs and I think everyone is having fun, including me. So far I have learned a lot of responsibility and how to trust the Lord with His guidance towards me. People at these fairs have been very open about themselves when I begin to talk to them about God. It’s just been a great experience for me and my team to be here in Indiana with each other and God.  – Logan Wolbert
This week in Indiana, God has yet again shown His love towards us.  In my six years of being at Teen Missions, I have never seen a team work together and do so much as this team has. In the few weeks we have been here, we have had the privilege to talk to over 2,000 people and more than 160 of them have made a decision for Christ! It has been the best days here and it is sad that we only have 16 more days left as a team, but I know that God will continue to bless us even after this summer.  – Aaron Wiggins
