Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
Psalm 100: 4
Dear Friends, Family and Former Team Members,
Canada: the northern neighbor to the United States. It often brings to mind hockey, maple syrup, vast wilderness and Tim Horton’s Coffee. Canada is the second largest country in the world in land mass. It also has the longest coastline, with borders along the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans. There are 33 million people living in the 10 provinces and three territories. English and French are the two official languages. The capital is Ottawa.
Originally located in Windsor, Ontario, Teen Missions in Canada is now located in Outlook, Saskatchewan. It exists primarily to process Canadian support for staff and team members and to promote Teen Missions. When the office work is minimal, the staff do extensive promotion of Teen Missions and our ministry with AIDS orphans at Mission Conferences, churches, schools and other places. In addition to the office, the Lord has blessed Teen Missions in Canada with a camp—Camp Outlook, “The Little Camp on the Prairie”—which will be used as a conference center among other things.
By the time you read this, I will be in Outlook, Saskatchewan, Canada where I will be working at the Teen Missions In Canada Headquarters. There will be only two of us in the office, myself and a volunteer. I will be involved in the day-to-day running of the office, including answering phones and processing donations to staff, team members and other ministries of Teen Missions that we are involved in. Having lived in Florida for my whole life, I’m looking forward to the snow and an actual winter even though I know I will get tired of it. I will be in Canada until June 25, 2014. Please be in prayer for me as I minister in Canada.
The summer of 2013 is over and now is the time time to get everything packed and filed away so that we can focus on the summer of 2014. We have about 150 kids signed up already to go on teams for 2014. All the staff is back from deputation/vacation time and are back in the offices.
Uhm….what did I do over the summer? That’s a good question. There were many different jobs that I was involved in. These jobs included answering phones, processing mail coming in and going out, cleaning dorm rooms in preparation for a retreat and debriefs, putting away things from Boot Camp, and helping in Daycare when needed. It was a lot of work and long hours and I enjoyed it. I now want to say thank you for the prayers and the financial support you have given me. Without you guys, I wouldn’t be able to minister here at Teen Missions. I really appreciate you!
Together in His Service,
