Uganda Update

We all greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Teen Missions Promised Land base in Uganda has previously been running Boot Camps for the last five years which has made a change in the lives of young people to turn back to the Lord, mostly young Fishermen, orphans, street children and some child mother (meaning girls who have been harassed by sexual abuse and they got pregnant). When they come for Boot Camp they also get a second chance to meet the Lord.

Uganda StudentsNot only that, Promised Land Boot Camps have been producing many young missionaries who have joined BMW Bible school in Teen Mission Jinja, Nakabango Village, Uganda, but within these two years we have one sent to the Bible school; one who was a former team member.

Promised Land Boot Camp has trained many young people here with skill and trained to work hard. Since here is located within the shower of lake, they have only minds of fishing and they don’t go to school. Immediately when Teen Missions started on here, many parents, pupils or children state develop an attitude or interest of going to school, so they would know English as the means of communicating, because all along they have been having one local language.
We also send our great thanks to director of Teen Mission International, MR ROBERT M. BLAND for having introduced phonics. I believe in two years to come, majority of children here will learn English in both speaking and written. The biggest problem was the language barrier. Many missionaries may have come wanting to preach, but if you don’t have an interpreter they can go back when they have not spoken anything.
