Yoder, Robert & Dorah Newsletter (Winter 2014)

YoderDear Family and Friends

Yoder 2014Greetings to you all from Zambia, the Real Africa. We pray and hope you are all doing fine by the grace of God. Happy 2014 to all our family and friends. We thank God for his goodness and faithfulness to us as a family. 2013 was an extra ordinary year on its own, and we faced a lot of challenges and discouragements as a family, but in the end God made us to smile again (Psalm 121). We want to thank all of you who have been praying for us and supporting us— may God bless you.

December 2013 found us getting ready for Boot Camp. We were asked to lead the Kansenshi Team, which is the home team. The team members came on the 7th of December. We had a great group of 24 teens and six leaders, plus Esther and Ethan. Our project was to work in the maize field, do the chicken chores and keep the Teen Missions base looking nice. We also did evangelism in the nearby compounds.

591Robert also had the responsibility to help transport the leaders and the orphans for the Boot Camp in Solwezi. He left for Solwezi on the 17th of December with 25 leaders. The truck he was using had problems with the brakes so we thank God for His protection in all of his travels. He left the truck in Solwezi and came home on the public bus. On the way home the bus he was on was involved in an accident. The bus was traveling at a high rate of speed when it came to some potholes in the road. There was a small car that had stopped in the road and the bus hammered the car, which then lost control and headed for the ditch. He called on the name of Jesus—the bus did not overturn but came to a stop in the ditch. Praise the Lord no one was hurt and Robert made it home safely (Psalm 91). Boot Camp ended with Debrief and all the teens went home on 4th of January,  2014. We thank God for all of you who pray for us—may God bless you.

We want to send out a big thank you and God bless you to all our family and friends who gave towards the purchase of our family car. This is a burden lifted off our shoulders as it is a blessing to not have to walk as much. Our prayer for you is that God will give you happiness this year and that He will bless the work of your hands. We appreciate you so much, thank you.

We also want to say thank you to all of you who faithfully support us. We appreciate your support so much. We pray that as you continue to support us in our ministry that God will bless you and keep you in all your ways (Psalm 91). You have a special place in our hearts. We are excited about this year and just want to continue to serve the Lord faithfully.

Yours in His Service,
