“The joy of the LORD is our strength” Nehemiah 8:10
Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,
Greetings from far away Borneo, Indonesia! A new chapter of our life has begun in the middle of the jungles of Borneo at a new TMI base. We have had many new experiences here like riding motorbikes on bad roads from village to village, eating interesting foods like fried python, barbecued monkey and many interesting looking and tasting fruits! We are doing great and are very happy serving the LORD here.
Part of our ministry responsibilities here is to help with the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission (MSSM) program that was recently started here. We have been blessed to have the opportunity to follow the Circuit Riders from village to village by motorbike, helping them to teach Sunday School lessons to the many village children who come weekly. We also were blessed to help teach English through phonics. There are currently nine locations and we visited them all. We were hosted by a Christian chief in one of the villages and had great food and fellowship with his family and the other Christian families that we stayed with. On the way to one village we fell off the motorbike because the roads were very muddy and slippery from the heavy rains. Redika had a hurt ankle for a few days, but we praise God because it could have been a lot worse if we had fallen down the steep hill near where we fell.
Some of the things we have been blessed to help with are: building a four-layer bamboo barrier wall filled with dirt (to replace dirt that has eroded away dangerously close to the back of our main building), building the walls for the MSSM office, making a small fish pond near our new bathrooms, building the wall for the second story storage room and building the car port/terrace.
Redika has been busy translating MSSM Sunday School lessons into Indonesian for the Circuit Riders to use in their weekly lessons. She is making good progress, but still has many to do! Sometimes she is limited by our limited electricity here. The government is supposed to bring electrical lines out to our area by the end of April. Until then our electricity comes from solar-charged deep cycle batteries, so we do a lot of praying for sunshine! We are also helping to finish construction on the building so please keep that in your prayers.
Before coming to the new base in Ponti Tapau we spent some time serving at the TMI base in Sosok, Indonesia. While there, Redika helped to teach English to the BMW students and I helped finish the tiling and construction of the new kitchen there.
We are thankful and very appreciative of everyone who has been praying for us and has supported us financially. Your faithful prayers and support make it possible for us to continue our ministry here, so we thank you for your faithfulness and prayers for us. We appreciate you so much—it blesses us and makes a big difference in our ministry to know that you are standing with us.
Redika’s visa process for her to come to the USA has had a few delays but is making progress and we should have a good update in our next newsletter. Please pray that her visa will be approved, that the process will go smoothly and that my permanent resident visa will be approved, which will let me stay here up to one year without having to travel and pay to continually renew it.
We hope and pray that the LORD is continuing to bless all of your lives as you continually seek Him and keep Him first in all you do.
-For a great marriage
-For good health
-For good progress in finishing constructing projects on the base
-For the MSSM program running here

-For God’s continuing provision in our finances and more monthly supporters
-For continuing good health
Anticipating His return,
Samuel and Redika McCracken
