Adams, Josh & Sarah (Spring 2014)

Dear Family and Friends,

Good day to you all! This summer is going to be very exciting for us. God has blessed us with the opportunity to go to Dalkey, Ireland! We will be taking 25 teens over and staying there for a little over a month. We will be working on the property of Ireland Outreach, where we also will be staying. We are very excited to see the work that God is going to do in our hearts and also the hearts of the youth that we will be leading. It is our first time leading as head leaders, please pray that God will give us wisdom this summer. Pray also that we would not be anxious about the responsibility, but trust the Lord. We also praise the Lord that He has given us two other leaders to help us with the team: Wes Glad, who is a BMW student and Emily, who is a volunteer leader. God is so amazing and we are so blessed to be a part of the work that He is going to do and is doing.

Titus is doing great! It has been such a joy to see him grow and learn new things. We have just started to feed him baby foods…his face is priceless when we feed him:) He is also just starting to stand up on his own! I have to say, it melts my heart when he crawls up to me and starts pulling at my skirt. 🙂

Joshua is also doing well. He has been teaching the Biblical Psychology class, which has been a blessing for him. The class has really challenged his thinking and has been strengthening his spiritual walk. This class has also challenged the students in many ways as well—not just in their understanding of God’s Word, but also how they live out their daily lives. He looks forward to teaching in the following terms as the Lord wills. Aside from his teaching, Joshua is still enjoying his work in video. He is so good at it! If you have time you should go to youtube and search Teen Missions International to see all the videos that he has shot and edited. 🙂

Working with the students continues to be a blessing for both Josh and me. Only through the wisdom of God are we able to provide them with the encouragement and also the advice that is needed to guide them through some of their struggles. I never thought that I would be counseling people about marriage after being married just a year. We definitely don’t have the experience older couples have, but we are willing to share when needed. Praise the Lord for the work that He is doing in the hearts of the students and also the staff of Teen Missions.

The children’s ministry (at Colony Park) has been such a blessing. We praise the Lord for the work that He is doing in the hearts of the children. We have been doing crafts and Bible stories with them and the response has been very positive. The children have lots of questions as well as a desire to learn more. We have had the blessing of being able to bring three of the kids to church with us every Sunday. One of the boys, John, wants to go to Ecuador with Teen Missions this summer! We are very excited about this! Joshua has also had the blessing of being able to disciple John. I’m so excited to see how God is going to work through this. John is such a sweet kid and has a strong desire to know more about the Bible. Please pray for Joshua as he is discipling John and pray that God will make His Word clear to John.

As some of you know, the summertime is our busiest time of the year. Our next newsletter will find you sometime in October. We want to thank our supporters for your gracious giving as well as to those who have been praying for us. We would not be able to do this without your faithfulness in our lives. Your prayers are so important to us as we seek to do God’s will. Thank you. 🙂
