Myers, Mike & Michelle Newsletter (Spring 2014)

MyersMM Staff NewsletterA big “Hello” to our Family, Friends and Former Teammates!

Mike is so spoiled!

Our summer is just months away and we are anticipating great things for our up and coming team to the Dominican Republic. Michelle and I always have the same goals every summer. Obviously, we would like to complete our project: To expand the Child Evangelism Fellowship building so they will have more rooms and space to do ministry, as well as pour sidewalks, painting and landscaping jobs to improve the overall facilities of the camp. But more importantly, we want to harvest souls. The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.(Matthew 9:37, 38) Everyday we are reminded of just how much people need to hear about Jesus. Nothing else will fix the problems we face, and things will just get worse the more we forsake Him. Because of this, heavy on our hearts and minds is to be spiritually ready in our personal walks with the Lord so that we can be ready for what awaits us. We recognize that being unprepared will hurt us and hinder our ability to accomplish the tasks set before us. We want to finish the summer and be able to say that we finished everything well and to the best of our ability, that we were content in all things and situations, that we chose to put on the garment of praise everyday, that we were examples to the unbelievers and believers alike and that we were bold in proclaiming the saving Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Join in prayer with us now as we bathe our ministry and team in prayer. Pray that the people of Dominican Republic and our teammates (some might not know Him!) will have receptive hearts to the message of Jesus Christ as many live in physical comfort but hurt inside and live in spiritual poverty. We want to be able to help them find out Who Jesus Is! Our team consists of only twelve team members as of right now, pray that more would sign up so we might have a full team.

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter!

We are busy getting ready for Boot Camp around here. There are already three Big Tops up and Big Top number one is going up next week. It’s an exciting time of year when we start setting up Boot Camp, because we know that lives are going to be forever changed in just a few weeks!  We are excited to see what the Lord has for us and our team this summer, and the many that will come and accept Jesus during Boot Camp!

I am about to head out on another Tabernacle trip. I am taking a group to set one of them up in Indianapolis, Indiana. Another group is going to set one up in Ohio. The third Tabernacle is going to stay here in Florida. Pray for safety as we set these up, as much of the Tabernacle is very, very heavy and difficult to put together. Please pray that when people take tours through the Tabernacle they will see how the plan of salvation is presented throughout the entire Tabernacle, and that many would come to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus!

The girls are all doing well. They are all doing swimming at the moment. Kenya is on swim team and Isabelle and Lily are doing amazingly well, and they all love it which helps. They all know how to swim in more ways than I do. Who knew there were so many different ways to swim?! They are also excited about the summer and have been asking questions about the Dominican Republic and our team.

We are ever grateful for your commitment to us and to our ministry. Your faithful prayers and support are making a difference in our lives as well as the lives of those we are able to touch through Teen Missions. Please continue to pray for us as we continue the adventure of being parents, husband and wife and missionaries for our Lord, Jesus Christ.
