The Haiti Team Is Adjusting

Hello all parents, friends, and other curious folks! As of today, we are continuing in the construction classes, doing some drama Haiti teamclasses, which the kids seem to enjoy and get into a lot. Music, as well, is this week. They are learning and growing day by day. As a team we have grown stronger in our bond as the first week comes to an end. We are all anticipating the day we head off to Haiti! The weather has been great thus far, only a little bit of rain, which made last a refreshing one, with a cool nights rest. As we go into the next week, we will start our puppet classes, we will be looking to grow in our relationship with Christ first and foremost and also with each other. To God be the glory throughout this trip! Each of the team members says to say “hi” to their parents and friends. They miss you, but know that they are here to serve God!
“I did not know what I was getting into. When I first got to Boot Camp, it was hot and sweaty and everyone kept talking about some Obstacle Course that sounded dreadful. Needless to say, it took some getting used to. As the days progressed, I came to realize that I could not do this on my own. But that is okay, because God will give me the strength to continue on and has blessed me with the most phenomenal team ever. I have learned how to lean on God when I am feeling weak, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of boot camp has in store.” -Brooke Scherer
“They said it was hot, they said it was hard, and they were right! But despite the things bothering my flesh, God has been good to me and is teaching me valuable life lessons! He is so good to me!” –Kasie Ness
