Team Uganda is almost ready to go! We ran the OC for the final time yesterday (Wednesday) and we have KP today (kitchen duties). We have had a great few days—winning the clean award, winning Godliness and we won the OC! We are starting to think about packing up and preparing for our departure. It is exciting to think that in just a few short days, we will be in Uganda. We will be decorating a wheel barrow for the wheel barrow parade on Saturday and nominating someone from our team for the “Ketchup Queen” contest on Friday night. The “Ketchup Queen’ is a competition where each team creates a creative hair style with ketchup. The winning Queen and her court get to go to Dairy Queen!! We sure hope we win. We also have the Teen Missions Olympics tomorrow where we compete in some fun games and competitions. On Saturday, we will have enormous alligator pizzas and a 500-gallon milkshake. It’s hard to believe that Boot Camp is almost over. Please pray for the team as we pack and prepare for our time in Uganda. We miss you all!
God is preparing us for Uganda through the Lord’s Boot Camp. Our team is excited about the amazing ministry that will take place this summer. Please pray for the team’s mission in Africa and for many lives to be touched. –Cassidy Clyde
We had to do the Obstacle Course for the last time. It was horrible! JUST KIDDING! It was fun. I finally got some sleep. My team is cool. This place is awesome and I might even come here again. –Roman Button
Boot Camp is almost over! I can’t believe how close our team has gotten this past week and a half. I’m really looking forward to being in Uganda and seeing what God has in store for our team. I know it’s going to be an amazing experience for all of us. Just the thought of going there and God working through us brings teas to my eyes. We have come a long way since we arrived. The first time we ran the Obstacle Course we had troubles at the wall, but today we ran it for the last time and got 18 people over the wall. We have for sure grown as a team. I’m so happy to be part of the Uganda team! I’m so excited to spend my summer with this amazing team serving the Lord! –Olivia Howell
Boot Camp may be hard but our team is pushing through and conquering all the obstacles and challenges that we face each and every day. Our team is growing close together as one in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are excited to see what God has planned for each and every one of us as we head to Uganda in four days. Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ Jesus our Lord. –Violet Bobo
Lately we’ve been getting to work together as a team. The OC has even seemed easy the last couple of times. Getting 18 people over the wall is no small accomplishment! –Lane Carson
