The Cameroon team continues their classes here at the Lord’s Boot Camp. The team members are all passionate about their training here for the Lord so they have been excelling in their puppet, drama, evangelism, phonics, music and construction classes. So far, the majority favorite has been the drama and the phonics classes. In phonics class they are able to create their own word games to help teach the Cameroon children English. Gabe Walker came up with his own original word game. The team loved it and played it multiple times. Altogether they came up with eight great interactive games created by Kameron, Janelle, Natalie, Nik, Jake, Maddy, Katy and Barbara. They also love learning the intense dramas that will break the language barriers in Cameroon. All of the team members are surprisingly very theatrical. Levi stands out as the actor who can make the most intense faces. Last night Jessica Codding, Janelle Benjamin, Levi Patzer, Kameron Jackson and Emily Bowen all had the amazing opportunity to perform a specific drama that they did very well in class to the entire Boot Camp at rally. Last night the Cameroon team also won the “Brainstorming” award with the Boot Camp theme song that they created. The team members and leaders are all growing closer and closer together creating more and more unity. This unity and open love and care for each other is allowing for more team victories and improvement. This growing unity ir especially showing on the Obstacle Course as they continue to lift each other up and use one another to rely on. We all feel blessed to be here together.
“Boot Camp is crazy. We are always on the go doing one thing or another. God is using Teen Missions to stretch, challenge and teach me. I think the biggest thing I am learning currently is how much time I used to waste at home being unproductive. Boot Camp is hard, but I know that these two weeks will be one of the most important events in my life. I give thanks to God for giving me this life changing opportunity.” -Levi Patzer
“I really love Boot Camp. On my first day I was really lost with all the teams and what we were supposed to do. A lot of the stuff didn’t make sense, but now that I’m almost done I realize how important our training here is at the Lord’s Boot Camp. Boot Camp is surprisingly fun. I love running the Obstacle Course (still haven’t fallen in the Slough!!!). So far,we have won the Clean Award and Brainstorming award. I’m really looking forward to the field and what our team is going to do for God. Hey everybody at home I miss you!!” -Gabe Walker
“Hey everybody! Well life here is pretty awesome and this team is amazing! Just a few days ago we won the Clean Award and got the pool! See ya!” -Nik Poli
“Boot Camp is a really amazing experience so far! I’ve learned far more than I ever thought I could in one week. God has taught me so much about Himself and my relationship with Him is really tested and strengthened. The first few days of Boot Camp I really struggled with my trust in God. I’ve never really had to completely trust in God before but at the Lord’s Boot Camp He is all I need. He has showed me that if I trust in Him, He will be my strength. God has used Boot Camp to strengthen my faith, trust and character.”-Haley Maxwell
“Boot Camp so far has been an eye-opening experience. The team has bonded a lot, we all have different strengths and weaknesses but together we have one goal and that is to serve God. God has taught me so much and I know He will continue to teach me as I leave for the field. I am so excited for what God will do through our team for Cameroon.”-Barbara Potts
