We are installing a fence around the future restaurant area as a barricade to keep the public from the school children. We are widening the driveway, remaking concrete table tops (the old ones were made 20 years ago by a TMI team), and blocks are being laid on the patio area to make a laundry room and store room. Spirits were soaring as materials were delivered yesterday. Although the team has maintained a good attitude while cleaning and trimming they are definitely happy to see a project with some substance. This afternoon we will have the opportunity to have lunch prepared for us and we look forward to tasting some of the local cuisine. We do want to thank The Lord for the safety He has granted and for good health. We have enjoyed some hot days this week and only had a couple slight sunburns; we do enjoy the cool breeze which makes work much more comfortable though. One of the highlights this week was a trip to the swimming pool, it was one of our hottest days so far and a welcome break. It is within walking distance, but we have discovered that any direction we walk is up hill. Overall everything is going well.Hannah Boleen – This mission trip has forced me to grow in so many ways and I’m very thankful to God for that. I have grown closer to a group of Christ-loving teenagers, I’ve grown more confident in myself and most important, my relationship with Jesus has grown phenomenally. He has forced me to have faith in Him, whether it’s being away from my family or doing manual labor for eight hours and He has rewarded me by answering the prayer I’ve long prayed; to have a spiritually unfathomable relationship with Him.
