The Holy Land Team Is Doing Great!

We are installing a fence around the future restaurant area as a barricade to keep the public from the school children. We are widening the Holy Land 2014driveway, remaking concrete table tops (the old ones were made 20 years ago by a TMI team), and blocks are being laid on the patio area to make a laundry room and store room. Spirits were soaring as materials were delivered yesterday. Although the team has maintained a good attitude while cleaning and trimming they are definitely happy to see a project with some substance. This afternoon we will have the opportunity to have lunch prepared for us and we look forward to tasting some of the local cuisine. We do want to thank The Lord for the safety He has granted and for good health. We have enjoyed some hot days this week and only had a couple slight sunburns; we do enjoy the cool breeze which makes work much more comfortable though. One of the highlights this week was a trip to the swimming pool, it was one of our hottest days so far and a welcome break. It is within walking distance, but we have discovered that any direction we walk is up hill.  Overall everything is going well.Hannah Boleen – This  mission trip has forced me to grow in so many ways and I’m very thankful to God for that. I have grown closer to a group of Christ-loving teenagers, I’ve grown more confident in myself and most important, my relationship with Jesus has grown phenomenally. He has forced me to have faith in Him, whether it’s being away from my family or doing manual labor for eight hours and He has rewarded me by answering the prayer I’ve long prayed; to have a spiritually unfathomable relationship with Him.

  1. Blessings to all on the trip!!!

  2. Nelson and Gina, if you have have a Facebook account, there is a Holy Land Facebook parent page! It’s called Parents of the TMI Holy Land team 2014. Come and join us!

Oh, bless you Hazel! Thank you for informing me! Will try that… Papa has a Facebook acct. Nelson Salazar or Nelson J. Salazar.

  3. Praise God that everything is moving along! Proud of everyone for all their hard work! We pray for each of you daily. We miss Nathan around here, especially since his short mom has to climb on a chair to get something from the top shelf

I was trying to post this a few minutes ago but it looked like I clicked too many times… I got impatient… It seems this new update came in at the same time… Want to inform all you parents who do not know that you can see pics of the team on the Hope Secondary School Beit Jala website… go to school community and click of photo gallery… ENJOY… you can leave comments for any photos too…. Wish us parents could communicate!

Don’t let the baggage of your past hinder the plans that God has for your present and future! This is a message I would like to send our son… and one I “wish” I knew many years ago… how about you? Still working on this… with the help of THE WORD & The Holy Spirit! LORD reveal yourself to our sons and daughters…. they are yours.
