Kilimanjaro Backpack — Teen Trip

Second  Boot Camp — June 27—August 13 Tanzania

As you hike the foothills of the great “Jaro” (Mount Kilimanjaro), you will find that your strength comes from the LORD! After training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight to the Kilimanjaro International Airport via Washington D.C. and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. From the airport you will travel by bus to the Teen Missions property in Tanzania, located at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Your project will be to complete construction of the Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center started by previous teams. After the project is completed, you will backpack on the lower slopes of the mountainside to remote villages on one of the world’s tallest free-standing mountains (over 19,000 feet above sea level). Share the Gospel among the Chagga people using drama, puppets and showing Christian films to the locals, many of whom have never heard the truth of God’s love. Housing will be in tents; bathing and laundry will be done using buckets.

Project Expense: $4490 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

Warning: This team is not for the faint of heart. Members should be in good physical health and free of respiratory difficulties.
