Northern Ireland — Teen Trip

Second  Boot Camp — June 27—August 13Ireland

You will receive the friendliest of welcomes as you spend your summer in Northern Ireland, discovering its inspirational locations, stunning landscapes and wonderful hospitality. After Commissioning at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight across “the pond” (the Atlantic Ocean), to Belfast, Northern Ireland via Newark, New Jersey. You will be involved in neighborhood youth ministry running Summer Schemes (VBS-type programs) for the many local children. Through God’s Word, skits, memory verses and music, the kids will learn that we can do all things through Christ and that He is our Protector and Defender. Housing will vary depending on location. Bathing and laundry will be done using buckets. You will have the chance to uncover the truth of the legendary Titanic, as you explore the shipyard where it was built. Experience what it would be like to travel to the depths of the ocean floor where the Titanic lies. You may clamber across the edge of the sea stepping from one stone to the next at the Giant’s Causeway, stroll down the beach for a frigid dip in the Irish Sea, or test your courage walking across the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge for the spectacular views of the coast. Shop at Carroll’s for souvenirs such as Irish linens, sweaters, bags, ornaments, chocolate, jewelry and items with Irish blessings written or carved on them.

Project Expense: $3990 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

  4. Hi There,
Do you still have room in your Ireland trip for a 17 year old girl?

    • Jennifer, There is a possibility, but the cost will be greater than what is listed in the brochure (all teams have been ticketed) and the full cost would be due upon registering.

  5. Hi! This mission trip looks pretty awesome. Is there a slot open for another girl? Also, is there an age limit? Thanks!

  6. Hi! I have two questions. I would like to know of possibly what kind of housing we will have on the field. Also, will teen members have the opportunity to use some if any electricity while we are there (plugs for example)? It is okay if you do not know. Thx 🙂

    • Kaitlyn, Your housing was listed in the Individual Team Fact Sheet. Please do not bring anything that requires electricity. There will be very few outlets available and they will not be available for team use.

  27. What does Teen Missions do when too many people sign up for a trip?
    Has this ever happened?

  28. I got the chance to go to Northern Ireland last year and it was amazing. The people in the churches are extremely hospitable. If you do go on this trip please be VERY CAREFUL IN CUSTOMS. The Scotland team in 2013 was sent back & I myself was sent back when I went on a mission trip will my church to England this past summer. If you mention any kind of work or volunteering, especially with minors, there is a very big possibility the UK will send you back.

  29. Hello and good afternoon!
I really would like to go on this trip, am I too late to sign up?

  30. This looks like a really amazing trip! Good job planning it out!

  31. Micah Anderson

      • Thank you so much i am exited, also will I get my account balances and donations sent to my E-Mail

        • Micah, We will start sending out monthly letters with a list of the donors usually in December. We are in the process of getting everything together (letters, etc.) for the registrations so they have not been processed yet.
