Philippines Children’s Ministry — Teen Trip

First Boot Camp  June 6—July 26Philippines

Surrounded by swaying coconut palms and rice paddies, the Teen Missions Philippines base is a quiet oasis nestled high on a mountain, near the village of Buenavista. Following Boot Camp, you will travel by bus, plane and boat to Cebu, Philippines via the Orlando International Airport, Los Angeles and Singapore. From Cebu you will board an overnight ferry across the Sulu Sea to Nasipit, and take a 30-minute bus ride to the Philippines Street Children’s Ministry. You will minister through meal distribution, puppets, balloons, drama and friendship to dozens of smiling children ready to hear the Gospel. The second part of your project will be at the Teen Missions in the Philippines Bible, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center. You will continue construction on additional dorms for the Retreat Center, a ministry that generates operating funds for the school. You will be a part of the BMW students’ weekly ministry in the homes of local people, sharing the love of Jesus and playing with the children. Housing will vary depending on location. Bathing and laundry will be done using buckets. At the end of your trip, you will return to Hong Kong for an overnight hotel stay and souvenir shopping.

Project Expense: $4690 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

  1. hi, when will i get the info sheet?

    • Aleyna, You should have received it (unless you just registered). If you just registered, it should come this week or next.

  2. Is there any spots left for Philippines Children Ministry?

  3. Hi, i was wondering if there is 2 spots left for girls? How soon would we need to register? Also, is there any way we can raise money?

    • Jada, Yes, there are two spots. The sooner you register the better. We are already having to reduce/confirm seats on airlines. We provide prayer cards and prayer letters to help you raise your support.

  4. My son is registered for this trip, and when I looked up flights based on what is listed, I couldn’t find any that go from MCO-LAX-SINGAPORE-CEBU, do you have the flight route / layover airports available yet? Also, how long is the stop in Hong Kong on the way home?

    • Kelly, That information will come out later in the spring (sometime next month). We are still finalizing flight information.

    • Kelly, I went to the Philippines last year and on our way home we arrived in Hong Kong in the evening and spent two nights in a hotel and left in the morning of the second day. I don’t know how much this varies year to year but I thought that might give you some kind of idea. The Philippines is amazing your son will have a great time!

  5. Hey Beth, Last question-

I know I will receive travel information and other info in April, but I was just wondering if you guys fly specific airlines, and if so which airline is taken to the Philippines?

  6. Hi I take it this trip is a month long?

  7. Hi there, is there still room available to go on this trip?
And does the cost of the trip include the airfare too?

    • Rebekah, The Philippines is still open. It does include your round-trip transportation to/from Florida/Philippines. It does not include your transportation to/from Florida/your home.

  8. Hello, I am registered for this trip and was just wondering if you could tell me how many other people currently are?

    • Collin, We don’t give out the numbers at this time. Later in the spring, we will send you an Individual Team Fact Sheet with a list of who is registered.

  9. If You don’t mind me asking Mrs. Kostner, how many guys are going on this team currently?

  10. hi, I’m 15 so I don’t have much experience with stuff like this except I went to the Dominican Republic for 10 days in March with my church and I was just wondering if there are any special requirements we need to be able to go on this trip and how long do we have to pay for the trip.

    • Ellie, There are no requirements for the team members. You have until the day you arrive to completely pay for the trip, but we ask that you send in the money as it comes in.

  11. Is there room on this trip still?

  12. Are there any vaccines that are needed to go on this trip?
