Myanmar Is Ready To Go!

Today is our last day of training! Then we begin the “take down” and “pack out” process. Needless to say, the team is more than excited 17 Myanmarto get out of here!

They are definitely finishing strong. We have been able to get everyone over the Wall which has been our goal since day one. They will have their last block laying, music and drama classes today. Packing out will begin on Friday and our tent site will come down on Saturday morning. Today was the last day to run the OC and the team was able to get 17 over the Wall with no disqualifications!
We have been sharing with them the plans for post Commissioning. Our team will stay up after our “party” and will remove the plywood, chairs, stage, etc. from Big Top #1 along with three other teams. Other teams will take the tent down on Saturday. We will then sleep in air-conditioned dorms until lunch. If all goes as planned, we hope to go to a team member’s home on Sunday for dinner and then out for ice-cream. Monday, we hope to get out to do laundry and then pack out in the afternoon. We will be up bright and early to go to the airport on Tuesday morning for our flight to Chicago and then on to Hong Kong and Yangon, Myanmar. Regardless of whether our plans work out, we will learn to be “fluid and flexible”.
Please keep us in prayer as we travel—for health, safety, good connections and that the team will use this opportunity to share the love of Christ with others.

Mackenzie Davis – Boot Camp has taught me a lot of things; how to be patient, understanding, responsible and much more. Mostly it has taught me how to trust in God and look to God for health and strength. Boot Camp has been tough for me but God has been by my side through it all. I couldn’t thank Him enough for being my best friend and never giving up on me. “I can do all things through Christ Who gives me strength.” Philippinas 4:13

Nevada Parker – I hated this place so much at first. I didn’t know what I got myself into and I was miserable. But now Boot Camp is awesome. I love it here so much now and it is like paradise now. God is pulling me out of my comfort zone and making me bolder for Him. I am realizing how much I need Him and depend on Him here. Over the last few weeks, I have realized that He wants me to be a missionary. God has taught me that I can do all things through Him.
