Myanmar moves on

Well, we are off again. This team is learning what it means to let God be in control and be fluid and flexible. 17 Myanmar

After getting a final ‘no’ from the officials in Gwa, we made the difficult choice to leave for Yangon and check out another project possibility. The officials would not allow us to visit the orphanage again to say our goodbyes, so the orphans came to us! We had a precious time of playing with the kids and singing with them. It was also hard to say goodbye to the owners of the guest house.

We had a long bus ride back to Yangon, but we were all together this time! We settled into the guest house here while the leadership pursued some contacts. We were able to find a project and after visiting the site and talking with the missionary and evaluating other aspects involved, it was evident that the government would not allow us to work again.

Yesterday, we were able to visit the Scott Market where everyone put their bartering skills to good use. We found some really good buys and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

We are able to get in our classes and evening devotions. The Lord is really teaching us so much through our experiences here. The team is determined to make their summer a positive experience spiritually and they are also determined to minister to whomever The Lord brings into our paths.

Late tomorrow night, we will be heading to the airport for our flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia on Saturday morning. We will be spending a couple of days there where we will see the MSSM team and also visit Angkor Wat before traveling to Kampong Chhnang where we hope to build a storage shed and help get everything ready for the Cambodian Boot Camp. Please pray for safe travels.

Your kids really are doing well and are just trusting The Lord to direct our steps.
