Over the past few weeks the team has moved and levelled thousands of pounds of dirt in order to create a foundation for a chapel that will see ten thousand visitors every year. They have also set up several eating sites for the upcoming Teen Missions Australia Boot Camp and nearly finished pouring the concrete for two large sections of sidewalk on property.
This Sunday they had the chance to run the children’s Sunday School program at a beautiful church in Noosa called C3. During that time they put on puppet shows, performed a drama, shared God’s word and even got to play on the play ground outside after the lesson was over. It was a great experience for the team and a fund time for the kids!
Today we’re headed off to the famous Australia Zoo (home of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin!) for our last day of sightseeing, shopping and fun. Tuesday will be the team’s last day of work, and hopefully they’ll be able to completely finish pouring the concrete for the sidewalk. After that, we’re cleaning up, packing up, and getting ready to head back to Florida bright and early Wednesday morning.
This has been an amazing summer with an amazing team. Thanks to all of you who kept us in your prayers, and all praise and glory and honor be to God who called us here to Australia and gave us the privilege of serving Him with our summer.
