The past few days have been mostly the same for the team. We stayed at Christ is the Answer until Sunday morning. During that time, we continued to go out in the mornings and evenings for evangelism in different parks and piazzas around Florence. The beauty of this city is remarkable and everyone on the team appreciates it. During the afternoons, we continued with classes. We actually learned a new drama that we have yet to perform but the entire team is excited about using it in evangelism. We continued working with another group during evangelism and have made several new friends.
On Saturday, Christ is the Answer took us to a small town about an hour away from Florence. The team did a few presentations there and then went out and talked with the people in the area. After a full morning of evangelism, Christ is the Answer took us to a lovely park in the hills where they prepared a picnic lunch for us. The team enjoyed the delicious food as well as some down time during the typical Italian siesta. Then, just as we were about to leave, we had an unexpected shower in the form of a thunderstorm. We then headed back to Florence to get ready for dinner.
Sunday was spent traveling to Rome because we are now… on our way to Greece!! We spent the night in Rome before catching the train to Bari this morning. We shall be boarding a ferry shortly which will take us across the Adriatic, Ionian, and Aegean seas all the way to Patras, Greece. Everyone is sad about leaving Italy, for our time here has been a wonderful and exciting experience. Yet, they are all ready for this next step in God’s grand adventure and cannot wait to minister to the people in Greece. Goodbye Italy, it has been absolutely delightful, but Greece awaits!
“This trip has been amazing! The experience is unbelievable! Between the views and the sightseeing I’m not sure which I have enjoyed more. There has been tons of memories made and I have enjoyed getting to know my teammates and God more each day. God has helped me so much on this trip, it’s unbelievable. Of course to God it isn’t, but to me it is. I am so glad I came here and would definitely come back.” – Macheala Carson
“This last week we were busy evangelizing along with the ministry, Cristo e la Risposta. Arthur, Gabrielle, and I had a great conversation with five different middle school aged girls. They were very interested in everything we had to say and agreed to read their Bible’s when they went home. We also prayed for these girls and then got their Facebook and emails to check up with them throughout the year and to encourage them in seeking The TRUTH an a relationship with their Creator. After the conversation with theses girls, each of us were strongly encouraged and excited to continue planting and watering spiritual seeds all throughout Italy and Greece. Praise the Lord for all the wonderful things He’s doing!” – Gabriela Powell
“My time in Italy has been a blast. My favorite place was Minori, but the trade off for an awesome campsite was climbing 190 steps to use the washroom. Doing our presentation is really fun. God has been teaching me a lot, one of the biggest is patience. I love my team, everyone is awesome.” – Shad Brown
