“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.”
Dear Family, Friends and Supporters,
“Who wants to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior?” “I do, I do, I do, I do, I do!” Recently at one of our Sunday schools in the mountains of Borneo five children accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior! While we rejoice that the Lord has given Motorcycle Sunday School Mission (MSSM) this wonderful harvest, we know that there are many more precious souls who will come into His Kingdom and get to know their Savior better as they continue coming to the Sunday Schools and learning about the One who loves them so much. The Sunday Schools are running well, and we currently have about 450 kids coming each week to the 14 Sunday Schools in the 14 villages where we minister. God has helped us to add five new Sunday Schools to the nine that were already running. We currently have four circuit riders teaching the children every week: Rico, Stevi, Fa’a and Waris. We appreciate them very much—the great job that they are doing and their sacrifice for the Lord. We are thoroughly enjoying running the MSSM program here and are very excited to see what God is doing now and what He will do with it in the future! Please also pray for possible MSSM expansion possibilities in the future. Please keep all of us in your prayers as the enemy would love to somehow stop us from ministering and teaching Jesus’ precious children. We are happy to see that some of the kids who come each week are Muslim. So please pray that they will keep coming, bring their friends and accept Jesus as their Savior.
We want to thank everyone who has stood with us and partnered with us in our ministry either through your prayers, encouragement or finances. We know that it is a sacrifice and your investment in the Lord’s work is reaping great eternal rewards. You are very important to us and we appreciate each one of you very much. Without prayer support we are like soldiers in battle without armor! We look forward to spending time with as many of you as possible when we are in the USA early next year.
The construction on the TMI base here is going well, though with the busyness of running the MSSM program, our help has been limited and there is still more to be done before it is finished. Please pray that the land certificate will be approved so TMI can open the Teen MIssions Borneo BIBLE, MISSIONARY & WORK Training Center (BMW) here next year for Indonesians and Malaysians.
My (Samuel’s) health has been good; however, Redika’s has not been so good. She recently has been having a lot of back pain and was told that she has a kidney problem. Riding the motorbike to many villages, sometimes on bad bumpy roads (as well as falling off a few times), has taken its toll on her body. We would appreciate your prayers for her healing.
Redika’s visa to the USA has been applied for and we are waiting for the process to go run its course. It should be approved sometime between next February and April. We appreciate your prayers for a speedy approval! My one-year visa has also been applied for and we are waiting for the approval. (We have been told that it will likely be approved, but we still have to wait and see!)
MARRIAGE, MINISTRY AND SPIRITUAL LIFE
God has been teaching us more patience and quick forgiveness with each other (essential for a healthy strong marriage!). We are enjoying praying, reading through the Bible and doing our devotions together. God has also been teaching us that His timing is not ours; He knows exactly what we need, when we need it, and how long we need to go through a trial in order to learn what He wants us to learn from it. God has given me a great small ministry of occasionally giving rides to the elderly villagers who walk from our area to the nearby village. It is a big blessing to them because they come back from harvesting in the fields with very heavy loads. God has also blessed me with some opportunities to teach a few Bible studies and a few Sunday sermons here. It has gone well and is helping to prepare me for doing that in future ministry.
We do have some upcoming extra expenses that we are trusting God to provide for. We will have to fly to Jakarta, Indonesia and back ($400) for our immigration interview which will probably be in January. When Redika’s visa to the US is approved we will have to pay a one-time fee of $1,000 (we expect it to be approved sometime between next February and April). We will need to raise about $1,800 for our flight to the US around that same time period. We also need more monthly supporters of any amount. If God puts it on your heart to help with any of these extra expenses we would greatly appreciate it and it would be an answer to our prayers.
-For quick smooth approval of Redika’s visa to the US
-For Redika’s back pain and kidney to be healed
-For expansion of the MSSM program and more Circuit Rider Sunday School teachers
-For more kids and Muslim kids to come to the Sunday schools to hear the Gospel
-For more kids to come to Christ
-For the salvation of five kids in the Sunday school.
-For counting us worthy to be His hands and feet to the hurting and lost
“Expect great things from God, attempt great things for God.”
Anticipating His return and only for His glory,
Samuel and Redika McCracken
“Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think according to the power that works in us.”
