25 Teens and counting!

Ireland summer

Dear Family and Friends,

Absolute is one adjective that could describe our summer. Absolute dependence on God, absolutely God-filled, absolutely showered by God’s grace and on and on it goes. Even though this summer was a challenge in more ways than one, God really showed Himself faithful. Our team of 25 teens, two assistant leaders and of course our son Titus traveled a total of eight hours to our destination and mission field in Dalkey, Ireland.

In Ireland the team built a shed over some oil tanks and also built the foundation for a playground. We praise the Lord that the team was able to finish all the work that they set out to do! When we arrived in Ireland we were toldCIMG4178 that we could not do a lot of evangelism, which of course we had a strong desire to do. God decided that we would get opportunities to evangelize however, and after praying, we were presented with several opportunities. Morning devotions are a part of our daily team schedule. One morning we went down to the harbor to do our devotions. One of the sailors, Wayne, approached me and we became friends almost instantly. After that the harbor became our main mission ground. Wayne made it a point to come and visit us often and we went down to see him as well. He and his buddies threw a BBQ for us and we were able to present the Gospel to all the sailors through drama and song. We also travelled to the Dublin city center where we did dramas, puppets and sang songs. The team really stepped up. As part of the team did a drama the rest would go out among the crowd and share the Gospel.IMG_7261 copy

One of the biggest lessons that we learned this summer was how faithful God is to answer our prayers. Praise the Lord that He hears us when we call! “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (Jer. 33:3).

Now that the summer is over, we are trying to get back into the routine of life. Josh is still working in the Video Department. One of his main projects right now is making videos for the Winter Jam Tour, which is a Christian concert that will be held in more than 40 major cities. He is also busy working on the scrapbook video which highlights the training portion of the kids’ summer. We are excited to see how God will move in the hearts of the teens this year as they watch the videos. Josh and I both are still working with the BMW students. They just started a new term and we have quite a lot of new students this year. Praise the Lord! Since TitCIMG4195us has gotten mobile this past summer I have decided to stay at home with him. Every now and then I will work in the AIDS Orphans Department, but not a lot.

It’s such a joy watching Titus grow in personality and also in stature. He’s just getting into playing with cars and doing peek-a-boo. He also loves being in the water! Since he’s mobile, he’s into everything now!

As of right now we still have two years of our commitment with Teen Missions. After that we really don’t know where the Lord will take us. We may stay longer or do something else that the Lord is calling us to! Whatever the case, we trust that He will show us in due time. Thank you to those who support us financially and also in prayer. Thank you so very much! Without you guys we would not have bWayne and Deaneen able to go to Ireland this summer and minister to the people there….so if you think about it, it was really like you guys were going with us. Thank you for taking the time to think about us and pray for us! You guys are amazing and we are so thankful for you!

In Christ,

Josh, Sarah and Titus Adams
