Parent, Team Member and Leader Monthly Update
A word from our Director, Robert M. Bland: We are excited about all that has been happening at Teen Missions since the New Year began. Over 450 registrations for 2015 Teen Missions Teams have been received, and we praise the Lord that you are going to be part of His work this summer.
Each month you will receive a letter similar to this from our headquarters. Please read it very carefully. These letters are meant to be an encouragement to you as well as an update for important information. Should 45 days or more pass and you have not received any information from Teen Missions, please call the U.S./Canada Teams Department. After you and your parents/guardians have read this letter, please file it in the Teen Missions folder that you received in your packet. We ask that you pray daily for the staff of Teen Missions, the leaders, the mission you will be working with, your supporters, prayer partners and the other team members on your team.
FIRST $300 – SEND MONEY NOW
DO NOT HOLD IT
Your first $300 in contributions is due 30 days after you receive your Support Packet. U.S. team members and leaders use the gold envelopes. Canadian team members and leaders use the green envelopes. Support money needs to be sent now. Teen Missions has already made the first payments on the flights for all the 2015 teams. Also, our Finance Department needs to process the donations quickly in order to handle the load and keep your record up to date.
If you or your parents are personally contributing money in order to meet the initial $300 contribution goal, it will be considered a contribution and cannot be refunded. It is important that you send donations from your sponsors first before contributing your personal money. Contribution Goals include the first $300, halfway from registration date and May 10 for First Boot Camp teams and May 20 for Second Boot Camp and Preteen teams.
The following should be mailed to the Teen Missions office within 30 days after you receive your support packet: Two Health Status/Release Forms, the Prayer Partner list and the General Fact Sheet Card signed by you and a parent/guardian. If you registered online, YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR YOUR TEAM, however you will also need to include the copy of the registration form SIGNED by you and a parent/guardian. If at any time after you receive your Support Packet you choose NOT to go on your team, please call the Teen Missions office and notify us of this information. If we are not notified, you will be responsible for any airline cancellation fees, up to the cost of the ticket.
Each month you will receive a computer printout of your finance record with the monthly newsletter.
CANADIAN FINANCE RECORD
The monthly finance records for Canadian Teen Missions members will be mailed from the Outlook, SK office. If you have any questions concerning Canadian finances, please contact the Outlook office at 306-867-9293.
Be sure to accurately complete your Finance Record and have someone double check your accounting. The biggest problems at Boot Camp Registration are addition or subtraction errors.
Please do NOT send postdated checks. Hold them until the negotiable date.
CHECKS MADE PAYABLE TO YOU
If a check made payable to you is sent in for your support, it will be processed to your account as a cash contribution.
Be sure to use your gold (U.S.) or green (Canada) envelopes when sending in contributions for your Project Expense. Enclose at least three or four checks in each envelope. Do not mail only one check per envelope or you will (or you already have) run out of these colored envelopes. Each check needs a matching coupon (the coupon that is at the bottom of each support letter). Do not fold or attach checks to the coupons. Simply match the coupon with the check and place them in the envelope. If more than one person from the same family is going on a team, be sure to send the money in separate envelopes. If you run out of colored envelopes, you may use a regular envelope and address it to Teen Missions, Attn: Finance Dept.
Please do not send your Tent & Literature Deposits to Teen Missions. Deposits cannot be applied to your account, as the unused portion of the cash deposit will be returned to you on Go Home Day. This money will be given to your team leader upon arrival at Boot Camp. It MUST be in cash, as we do not have the resources at Boot Camp to cash checks.

15071 Forest Angels and 15073 Swamp Angels do not need a passport. ALL other Preteen team members/leaders are required to have a passport.
If you decide to switch teams for any reason, there is a $30 ($35 Canadian) re-registration fee. Fee after May 1 is $55 ($65 Canadian).

TEAM PROJECT EXPENSE
The Team Project Expense cost was figured on October 2014 airline costs. Any cost increases from the airlines will be added on to the summer team Project Expense.
TRANSPORTATION TO BOOT CAMPS
Teen Missions will pick up team members at the Orlando International Airport (airport code MCO) on designated arrival days.

First Boot Camp –
6 AM – 6 PM Saturday, June 6
Second Boot Camp –
6 AM – 6 PM Saturday, June 27
Teen Missions will have greeters at the Delta Baggage Claim area on the B side of the airport during each of these 12 hour windows to meet team members. Your flight must arrive in the 12 hour window indicated – NO EXCEPTIONS.
Preteen Boot Camp –
6 AM – 6 PM Wednesday, July 1
Teen Missions will have greeters at the Delta Baggage Claim area on the B side of the airport during each of these 12 hour window to meet team members. Parents with Preteen team members traveling as Unaccompanied Minors can call the Teen Missions office on Tuesday, June 30 to obtain the name of the greeter that will meet your child. Your flight must arrive in the 12 hour window indicated – NO EXCEPTIONS.
Leaders, please consult your paperwork from the Leader Department for your arrival information as it differs from team members.

Teen Missions provides transportation to either the Orlando International Airport (airport code MCO) or the Titusville Greyhound Bus Station. Book your transportation home arrangements between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on your “Go Home” day.

All leaders and TEEN and PRETEEN team members – Don’t forget to buy your 6-inch (8-inch are preferred if you can find them) all-leather lace-up construction boots now and break them in before you come to Boot Camp. VOLUNTEERS FOR JESUS
What helps make Boot Camp successful? Over 100 volunteers who come each summer for two to eight weeks to serve the Lord as cooks, kitchen helpers, bus drivers, instructors, security guards, maintenance workers, mechanics, general helpers, etc. Help us spread the word that Boot Camp volunteers are needed!! Tell your parents, churches, relatives and friends. You must be at least 20 years old (18 for Former Team Members) or older to work at Boot Camp. If you know of any singles or married couples who might be interested in being a leader on a summer Teen or Preteen Team, let them know that there are openings. TEEN MISSIONS PRAYER CLOSET
You are a part of Teen Missions prayer vigil. During the 40-hour work week, a staff member is always praying in the prayer closet at the Merritt Island office. Your prayer card is in our prayer closet and you are brought before the Lord in prayer every business day. Each of the teams going out this summer also receives prayer to prepare everyone involved with the project.
