Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings from sunny Florida!!! I praise God every day for bringing me here, especially during the winter. I’m so sorry for those of you who are dealing with the bitterly cold temperatures and I pray for you often!
I will be heading to Honduras next month (February) with Linda Maher to learn about training for new Motorcycle Sunday School Mission (MSSM) circuits. The plan is to open two new circuits there, one of which will be our very first Motorboat Sunday School Circuit. I’m very excited to see firsthand this aspect of MSSM.
Next summer, I will be leading the Zambia Footwashing Team. I’m also very excited about this team because I will get more firsthand experience with our AIDS Orphan Rescue Units and MSSM Circuits, not to mention visiting Africa for the first time. We already have 17 teens signed up to go with us!
In our office, we have been “remodeling our display wall”, having added some “cubicles” which we filled with 3-D type exhibits to help explain the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission program. We also have more space to accommodate the growth of this ministry experienced in 2014. New Sunday Schools are being added all the time and just this past year we have gone from 126 to 185 total Sunday Schools running in 10 (soon to be 11) countries including: Cambodia, Cameroon, Ecuador, Indonesia, Madagascar, Malawi, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It’s great to see this very effective program expanding to other countries and even new continents.
The MSSM office was also in charge of redoing the Teen Missions display room. We painted and rearranged the photographs on the walls. If you’ve seen the display room, you know that there are a LOT of pictures on those walls! It was a big job, but we had fun doing it and it looks great thanks to the students: Rae Marcy, Emily White and Dan Zettlemoyer (and a few others) who work with us! Thanks for your hard work guys!!
Shonn Foy works with me in the MSSM office. It’s great to have him back from his USA tour with the Circuit Rider Band. They returned in May and were able to raise over 50 new Sunday School sponsors. Thanks to all of you who hosted them and who have sponsored new Sunday Schools as a result of their visit. I know you were completely blessed by their ministry. We will very soon have 40 new Sunday Schools that will need sponsored, so if you have been considering sponsoring a Motorcycle Sunday School, now would be a great time to get in on this wonderful ministry. If you have any questions, give me a call, or call us at TMI (321-453-0350). We’ll be glad to answer all of your questions.
Shonn is organizing a new event for Teen Missions and on May 2, TMI will host their 1st Annual AIDS Orphans Mud Run. You are all welcome to come enter this event. There is a link on the Teen Missions website at www.teenmissions.org. We will also be holding an open house that day for those who would like to come and just see what Boot Camp and the base here in Florida are like.
My daughter, Christina, and her family were able to come and spend the Christmas holidays with me. It was such a blessing to get to spend a whole eight days with them and show them around a little bit. We had a couple of excellent beach days, got to see some dolphins swimming around in the Indian River, did a little geocaching and had a wonderful time just hanging out together.
I want to say a very special thank you to all of you who pray for me on a regular basis and who faithfully support me financially. My support has been fluctuating a lot and I’m about $200/month short of being fully supported. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the opportunity to be here serving the Lord with Teen Missions and I am so thankful that you make it possible.
