Dear Family and Friends,
Last year was an exciting and life-changing year for our family: Our travels took us to the Dominican Republic, the girls all started school at new schools, and Mike accepted a new challenge and taught at the Bible School last semester. Our biggest life-changing event came in the form of a small baby boy though. I gave birth to our fourth child and first son, Gabriel Wayne, on December 27, 2014. He weighed in at 8 pounds 9 ounces, and was 20 inches long. I had a great delivery, with no complications. He is so beautiful. Like his sisters, he too has a head full of hair, although his has started out much blonder. Gabe is a good baby, not too terribly fussy, except when he is hungry!! He is very cuddly and wants to be held and cuddled all the time. Kenya, Isabelle, and Lily were so excited when he finally made his debut. They are great big sisters who want to help Mommy and Daddy do everything. Gabe is constantly the recipient of hugs, kisses and cuddles. Their genuine love for their long-awaited little brother is so special to watch. I cherish this time and am tucking these memories away in my heart.
Looking ahead to these next few months, Boot Camp does not seem to be very far away.
We are planning on leading the team to the Holy Land this summer. We will partner with Hope Secondary School in Beit Jala again to help make improvements to their property by constructing a greenhouse to provide vegetables for the school, painting classrooms and landscaping. This will be our third journey into Israel and Palestine, and we do not take for granted just what an awesome privilege it is to go once, let alone three times. It truly is my most favorite place to travel to. Of course, there is always much tension, both religious and political, and turmoil in that part of the world. What an opportunity it will be to serve in the Holy Land as ambassadors for Jesus Christ, the ONLY One Who will ever be able to bring the peace so desperately longed for. We have much anticipation for the ministry opportunities the Lord has in store for us, both to the people we will come in contact with once we are there and to our team as well. Please pray for us and our team. Pray that our walks with the Lord will deepen and that we will emerge from the summer somewhat different than we are before our summer adventure begins. May we sing a little louder, smile a little bigger, and see and understand so much more about our awesome God. May this be a life-altering and life-impacting adventure!
We are so happy to be serving the Lord with Teen Missions, and we hope this joy comes through to you in our newsletters. We could not be here without your continued support, both prayer and financial. We praise the Lord for His goodness to us in that He has surrounded us with such faithful friends and family! We are humbled daily by His continued provision in our lives and ministry.
Mike, Michelle, Kenya, Isabelle, Lily, and Gabriel
Praise: Isabelle asked the Lord into her heart on Oct.14 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please continue to uphold us in prayer:
1. Regular and fulfilling time with the Lord in His Word and in prayer. Our quiet time with the Lord is the most important part of any day and yet it is so easy to get distracted and not do it. Please pray that we would be disciplined in this area. May we give God our best.
2. Pray that the Lord would provide all of the finances needed for our children this summer.
3. Fruitfulness…”Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may be spread rapidly and be honored…” (2 Thes. 3:1)
4. That we would be an encouragement to others.
