It’s time to write another letter—it seems like I just did one. I like writing to tell you what I have been doing and and what I’m struggling with, but I have a hard time trying to figure out how to put my thoughts down on paper. I’m not good at it. I know I do want to say THANK YOU so much for all the prayers and financial gifts. I couldn’t do ministry without you guys.
Last year I began helping out at my church, Trinity Community Church which is in Titusville. My jobs include assisting with the children’s church with the K-2nd grade age group. I also help out with the TECH team, putting up the words on the screen during music and recording the sermon. I have been enjoying it.
The Big Top Tents are up which means our summer ministry is about to begin! I’m excited to be leading the Forest Angels Preteen Team. We will be riding mini bikes and doing evangelism through the Ocala National Forest here in Florida. I’m really excited to be part of the team. I have been placed as the head lady leader. My primary responsibility will be cooking for the team. I will also be helping lead Bible studies and counseling. I’m nervous about leading this team as it will be my first time as a head leader. So please pray with me that I will be a good leader and for wisdom as I work with the kids.
Last month some friends and I made an unexpected trip to New Jersey for a funeral service. A former fellow Bible School student, who was the husband of a close friend, died unexpectedly. My friend is left with a baby under a year old. So we were able to go up there to be with her during this time of hardship. It reminded me how life can change so fast. So please pray with me for her and her baby.
I have been quite busy in the mailroom. I just mailed out the Launch Pad, which tells what has been happening at Teen Missions, to almost 4,000 people. We will be mailing out the finance records to everyone who is signed up to go on teams. In addition, I will be mailing out all the staff newsletters. I really enjoy working in the mailroom. It is a challenge at times, but that is fine. With God ALL THINGS are possible!
Come join us!! Teen Missions first 5K Mud Run and Open House is coming up May 2nd. We have been busy getting ready for it. The Mud Run is a fundraiser to help benefit our sister organization, AIDS Orphans and Street Children (AOSC). The mission of AOSC is to provide for children whose parents have died of AIDS related diseases or who do not have a ‘sustaining’ family. The proceeds from the race will assist in providing food, medicine, education and spiritual hope to the 10,000 children receiving care through AOSC. If you would like to help make a difference, go to mudrun.teenmissions.org to see how you can register to run, volunteer or donate.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! Thank you for all your support both in prayer and financially. Every little amount counts. I want to praise God that this past month I was given more money than usual. It was definitely a PRAISE!
