Greetings From Malawi I Well-Drilling Team!

10 MalawiGreetings from the first Malawi Well Drilling team! We can’t believe we are half way through our first week! For those parents watching the evening rallies, we hope you got to see our team win Brain Storming! What is that you might ask? Well, after lunch the team will sit for about 25 minutes and talk about ideas. For example, the first day they designed their very own team t-shirt. And last night they had the best idea for future Teen Missions bands. That means today the team will be getting to swim in the pool!! They all are very excited about that.

The team is bonding well with one anther. We have started our drilling classes—learning how to use the drill. The team is also taking evangelism classes. Their favorite class seems to be puppets. Last night we had our first rainfall, but this morning the sun is shining (and it is raining as I am posting this)! We are so thankful for your prayers as the team continues with their training here at Boot Camp. Your children are a huge blessing in our lives!!

Teen Missions is the place to be; it challenges you physically, mentally, and spiritually. It teaches you patience and order and how lucky you are to have basic things like showers, flushing toilets, socks, and clean clothes. – Noah R.

Teen Missions has been a crazy experience so far. The people are amazing, supportive and encouraging. In just three days I’ve learned so much, not only about God, but also myself. It’s certainly no “Pamper Camp,” but well worth the hardships. I’m looking forward seeing what more the Lord has in store for all of us here! – Sierra P.

After you get past the complete change of culture, heat, bugs, and waking up really early, it can be pretty fun. The Lord’s Boot Camp opened my eyes in a new way. Being away from all social media has exposed me to God’s creation in a world that is distraction free. Even though, when I first arrived, I felt like I would not be able to move again, the combination between God and my team member’s motivation, helped me know that I will make it through the hard work of Boot Camp. – Olivia M.
