To all of you, family and friends: We must say that we are honored to be the leaders of the Peru team this summer. They are amazing and very gifted! They seemed to be handling Boot Camp very well. We are all incredibly blessed by all of your children in so many unique ways.Everyone is already acting like family. Sometimes that means there may be the older sister who knows everything along with the pesky younger brother. Really, they are getting along well together and caring for each other seems to come very naturally.
None of us can believe that Boot Camp hasn’t tormented us with an onslaught of torrential rain (it has today :)). The weather has almost been delightful and beautiful except for the heat and humidity. The team members have hardly even complained when they are working in the heat. A rain came last night just as we were entering the evening rally and nearly quit by the time we were done and heading back to our tents. The tents seemed to endure the rain fairly well (not sure what today’s storm will mean with the tents…).
Several kids have gone forward for prayer after the rally and we can see the team stretching and seeing the Lord answer prayer. We look forward to all the Lord is going to teach us and see how He is going to grow us all closer together.
Thank you so much for all of your prayer. We are counting on it.
