The Australia Team Has Settled In

Australian 6:25 #4Hello from Australia! Aside from some major jet lag, the team is healthy and in good spirits! We arrived at the Teen Missions Base here in Tewantin, Australia at about 11:00AM on Tuesday the 23rd. We had no issues in all of our travel as well as received all of our bags (PRAISE THE LORD!). The team had time to get settled in to their rooms before lunch. I know I speak for everyone when I say we are all very excited to be out of the tents. After lunch we got to shower and change out of our travel clothes. We spent the rest of the afternoon catching up on memory verses and classes that were not done during travel days. The weather has been very nice. It has rained a small amount both of the days we have been here but we have managed to stay dry. Today the team got up and had breakfast, did devotions and worked on their evangelism presentation for the first part of the morning. After lunch the team was very excited to receive some work assignments and get started on some projects around the base. Noah, Kayla, and Deena worked on busting up an old sidewalk and loading it into the bucket of the dozer. John, Dillon, Kat, and Katie worked on scraping the paint off of the big water reservoirs that will be painted later on. Megan, Makole and Clair cleared bushes, weeds and sticks in order to create a path for a fence to be built. Each team member worked hard with a fantastic attitude. We are all very excited to see what tomorrow holds for each of us.

Yesterday’s memory verse was 1 Timothy 4:12 which says, “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” Each day the team members are reminded of who they are in Christ and what they are able to accomplish with the LORD at the center of their lives. Please continue to pray for each team member as they strive to grow closer in their walk with the LORD.
