Last night we were welcomed by the staff and students with a delicious dinner. We had rice, noodles, mangos, and chicken. Right after we were finished, we all went to bed to try to catch up with the change in time as well as the long travel. We woke up refreshed and ready to seize the day for the glory of God. They have been very encouraging to each other and been doing well as a team.
We are very excited to have started our work project today. It has been raining since we woke up so we went to our painting project. As you can see in the pictures, we have started painting the main base a nice blue color. We had already finished the first half of the building on the top floor when we stopped for lunch. Our KP’s have been very helpful and our wonderful cook has been feeding us very well. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful base and kitchen.
We also had the privilege to join the chapel service this morning and present a song as a team. Our group has gotten more confident in their singing and they sound great. We told them during Boot Camp that we are to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, but it doesn’t have to be pretty. 🙂
We also got news today that Deborah’s bag has been found and is on it’s way to the base. We have been continuing to learn more about each other and it’s funny to see how much of a family they are becoming. They love and tease each other just like family. Thanks to all those who are praying for us, we can see them working in the little things.
