Hello one and all from the beautiful island of St. Lucia. God has blessed us in numerous ways within the past few days. The weather has been humid, but not unbearable. On Wednesday we were short on work, but we were able to do some sightseeing over at a nearby beach and visit some of the small shops to buy some snacks. We were also able to celebrate Caitie’s 18th birthday with banana cake made from the fresh bananas of the island.
On our worksite we started to dig the footers for the columns and walls of the building. The team is really putting their all into getting this building started. We look forward to seeing how much of this building we can get done before the summer is over. Hopefully, we will be ale to get some evangelism in this weekend. We plan on visiting a school to do puppets and drama.
God has done great things through this team thus far and has even more planned for the next few weeks. Thank you for your continued prayer and support!!
Vental Waggoner: Hey Mom, Dad, Bethany, Catherine, Daniel, and Emmeline,
We arrived safely in St. Lucia with no major glitches. We arrived to the sleep site to find out that there are sleeping quarters here and we don’t have to sleep in tents. Our building project is from the ground up so it will certainly prove to be a challenge. I’m excited to get things done and learn in the process.
Mary Kate Hogan: We arrived safely in St. Lucia! It’s beautiful here, but we have a lot of work to do. I’m excited to see what God will do in me, the team, and the people here.
Hannah Daniels: Life is great over here in St. Lucia. We got a wonderful surprise when we got here and discovered that not only do we have dorms instead of tents, but a working shower as well! The flights went really smoothly and we all got here in one piece. But life is amazing right now and I couldn’t be happier to be here. 🙂
