An Australia PT Update

Australia“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23

Praise the Lord for all the mercies He has been bestowing on our team through our Boot Camp experience. We have only FOUR MORE DAYS days until we depart for Australia, and our team is more than excited. We have two more days of training left at Boot Camp where we will continue to learn block laying, carpentry, painting, sanding, and more! All the kids love to work hard and do not shy away from opportunities to go the extra mile. Our boys Spicer, Caleb, Sam C, and Semaj are always quick to help the ladies lift heavy things. Also, several of the girls, including Kaley, Gracie, Maddy, and Chloe, are not afraid to do the dirty work. We praise the Lord for their diligence.

We have only two more days of the Obstacle Course, and our team has gone from dreading it to anticipating it. They have learned that any obstacle can be overcome by working as a team. Yesterday they lifted EVERYONE over the twelve-foot Wall because they worked together as a team. I enjoyed the smiling faces of Kaley, Maddy, and Elyssia as they victoriously overcame the wall for the first time. It was a milestone for us all.
The highlight for several of the kids was the night of the giant Alligator Pizza and Milkshake. Abraham, Josh, Sam O, and Lucas were bouncing around ready for their second helping, but weren’t bouncing around so much after they ate it all. They boys and I laughed together as I taught them the consequences of your eyes being too big for your stomach. I think they learned their lesson.
The entire team has slowly grown to love Boot Camp. As we approach a bittersweet end to this first step in our summer, we know that the Lord has so much more in store for us as we travel to Australia.

Maddy thinks Rally is the best part of Boot Camp.

Semaj says Boot Camp is a great experience to learn to share the Gospel.

  1. Loving the updates! Praying for this team to have unity and for God to speak in a powerful way to each member. Praying that everyone is getting rest as yall prepare for Australia. And most of all praying that Gid is honored and glorified through the team.

  2. We are praying for God to teach and for each teen to learn what God has in store for each one of them individually and as a team.
