Cambodia MSSM

CambodiaSpend your summer days riding motorcycles in the beautiful country of Cambodia! This motorcycle evangelism team offers a unique experience of sharing the Gospel with hundreds of lost souls.

Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)

Travel: After training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you bus to the Orlando International Airport and board a flight to Chicago. A connecting flight takes you across Ontario, Canada, the Arctic Ocean, the International Date Line, Russia and China before arriving in Hong Kong. A short flight across the South China Sea and Vietnam takes you to Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Ministry:  Your project will consist of riding out to surrounding villages on motorcycles and teaching children the message of salvation through dramas, songs and puppets. You may never understand the impact this ministry can have on a child’s life, until you see it for yourself. Don’t miss this opportunity to minister to the Khmer people. After your time in Siem Reap, you bus seven hours through the cities and countryside to Kampong Chhnang to continue your ministry. You will also be involved in small work projects there. Important information: Team members must be at least 16 years old and have a valid U.S. or Canadian Driver’s License.

Adventure:  While in Siem Reap, you will have a chance to explore the World Heritage Site, Angkor Wat, a “temple city” from the 12th century. Stepping into the ancient ruins of the largest religious monument in the world will be a memorable experience. On a visit to the Old Market, shop for souvenirs such as jewelry, paintings, carvings, clothing or other national pieces. On your return, there will be an overnight in Hong Kong where you will take the Star Ferry across Hong Kong Harbor and shop in the Chinese night markets.

Dates: June 18 – August 13

Estimated Project Expense: $4890 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

(Note: Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.) Return to 2016 Mission Trips List

  1. Hi I am going on the Cambodia mission trip. I was wondering if I could donate my tote when I leave for home? I was hoping to save on baggage on the way home and just use some duffle bags that I’ll bring with me for that purpose.

  2. what does this mean: Balance of your support WITH DONOR COUPONS FILLED OUT. I am not going to be able to make it this year but im doing fund razor for next year so do i have to have all the people who come to the dinner fund razor, fill out some sort of paper work? thanks for your help!!

    1. what is the weight limit and are we supposed to provide our own duffle bags or do you, if so what style are they (do they zip up on the side or are they the kind that has a hole on the top?)

    1. Clarenza, We run the same program in Indonesia and Cambodia. Please email our office ([email protected]) and they will give you the information on how to get in touch with these countries. Yes, you could come here to do it, but you would be responsible for your round-trip transportation to/from the US, the project expense, visa costs, etc.

  3. Hi, I was talking to my cousin the other day and realized that when you are on this trip you need protection from falling. Most people (who ride them on roads) wear a jacket, like a leather jacket or a motorcycle jacket. My cousin said that when she went on her trip the jacket was given to them during boot camp, I wanted to see if the jacket would also be given to us during boot camp or if we need to bring our own jacket to ride in.

  4. Hello Beth,

My daughter, has signed up to participate on the Cambodia team for 2016 (this will be her fourth TMI summer.) Are you able to give any insight on who your partners are in Cambodia? I am involved in missions work in Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines and want to see if we know your partners.

Thanks for whatever insight you can give. We appreciate you all.

  5. I remember my first mission trip in Russia, it was 2012 and that was the best memory of my life. Now i feel called to do a mission trip somewhere else. Are there still spots open on this trip?

  6. how does paying you work? I’m a little confused on that, and will you have another motorcycle trip in 2017? my dad’s in the Navy and we move 2 week before I would have to be at boot camp.

    1. Hannah, As money comes in, you send it in to us. The “goal” is to have it all in by May 15, but it definitely has to be here by the day you arrive. Yes, we should have motorcycle teams this week, but I would suggest this year. Some parents have moved while the team member is away for the summer. That way, someone else can unpack for you! 🙂

  7. Where I live you get a restricted license for 6 months before you get your full license. To go on the trip do we have to have a full license or can we go on the trip with a restricted license??
