African Awakening

South AfricaBe part of a “camp meeting” as you exhibit Teen Missions life-size replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle on this missions trip to South Africa

Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)

Travel: After completing training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you bus to the Orlando International Airport to board a flight across the Atlantic Ocean and Southern Europe to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. From Dubai a connecting flight takes you across the Arabian Sea and the Equator, following the Rift Valley over Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania, before arriving in Johannesburg, South Africa. You then bus one hour north to the Teen Missions in South Africa Bible, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center located in Pyramid.

Ministry: Your team, along with Bible School students from many of the African BMWs, will share in open-air meetings and in churches to spark an awakening for Christ in Africa. Tabernacle tours will help to point people to Christ by showing how God used His meeting place to reveal His plan of salvation for mankind.

Adventure: Enjoy a safari to Pilanesberg National Game Park where you may see cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhino, known as the African “Big Five”. Shopping for handcrafted items of wooden animal carvings, canes, bright colored clothing, baskets and beaded jewelry in the markets will help make this an unforgettable summer!

Dates: June 18 – August 13

Estimated Project Expense: $4890 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

(Note: Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.) Return to Mission Trips List

  1. Do you know If we use American money in the markets or if we mainly barter for things? I know this isn’t at all important, I was just wondering. 🙂

  2. Is there girl spaces steal left and what are prayer cards and how will they help raise money for the trip

  3. Hi i am in Zimbabwe does it cost the same with those in Uk and other countries

    • Meredith, Yes and you would be responsible for your round-trip transportation to/from the US, visa costs, etc. We run the same program in Zimbabwe, so that might be a better fit for you. Please email our office if you are interested ([email protected]).

  4. Do I just email and asked to be switched?

  5. I am interested in this trip are there still any openings for girls?

  6. I was wondering around how many people are usually on a team?

  7. Are there any other South Africa mission trips for teens? Would we be the ones doing the preaching?

    • Daniel, This is the only trip to South Africa this summer. Sometimes the team members share, sometimes the leaders and sometimes the Bible school students.

  8. Hi I’m from London UK and I’m 14 will i be able to come on this exhibition ???

    • Adaeze, Thank you for your interest! Yes, you may, but you will need to provide your transportation to/from the US and any needed visas.

  9. is there a way to sign up to be sponsored for this trip? i would love to go but am afraid i wont make enough money in time.

    • Katie, You will need to register and we will send you prayer cards and letters to help you raise your support. We will call you in the spring before final ticketing and if you need to switch to a cheaper team, you can do so at that time.

  10. What part of Africa is this?

  11. Hi! I’ve been looking into your mission trips for little bit now and I will be 16 next summer if I were to go on one of these trips. Would I be able to go as a minor? Would I need to be in a team?

  12. I know I am allowed to bring my gutair but can I alos bring my ukulele

  13. Hi I have a question. I was wondering how much does each individual person have to pay in order to go on a mission trip? Thx

  14. I just saw these trips today! Are all the teams now Super boot camp and not Early and SBC? It’s sad becuase I know my exams are in the week of the 20th – 24th and I won’t be able to go on a team 🙁
