The Australia Team Is Back In Tewantin

Australia 7:13-2 Hello again from “Down Under”! The team cannot believe that we are starting in on our last week here! Three weeks have flown by so fast! Last Wednesday the team packed up and headed to Bundamba, Ipswitch, which is about three hours south of the Teen Missions base in Tewantin to work with Pastor Don Stewart and Oasis Church. The church just purchased land in a developing area called Springfield. They are in the process of turning Vietnam War army barracks into a new church and they were in great need of landscaping before the city council would approve the building as a church. The team got to work on Thursday by removing all the weeds from the gardens around the property. On Friday, a truck dropped off 36 meters of mulch and seven hours later, the team had spread it all! The team also had the opportunity to go to the big, new shopping center in Springfield and try some real authentic Auzzie food…..McDonalds! Saturday morning, we headed back to the base in Tewantin and finished the day by assisting the BMW students in putting up the roof on the new chapel.

Sunday, the team visited the Assembly of God Church in Cooroy and was able to do a presentation in the children’s church service. After church the team took the afternoon and spent some time at Noosa Heads Beach! The water was nice and cold but the team still swam and enjoyed the beautiful day. This week we will continue work at the base as well as begin our sightseeing. Please continue to pray for the team as we finish out our time here in Australia, that they would not be so excited to go home that they lose sight of what God still has planned for them. Also pray for all second Boot Camp teams, especially for the Australia Preteen team that will arrive here tomorrow. We are very excited for what the Lord has planned for us the remainder of our time here as well as the time we have at Debrief. Thank you for your continued, unwavering support of this team.Australia 7:13-4 Australia 7:13-3 Australia 7:13-1
