A Last Report From The Philippines

Philippines 7:6#2Our last team report on the field. Can you say time flies? Peter and I were just discussing how this summer felt like the fastest summer by far. (We have been on 16 summer teams between the two of us.)

We have had a fun and exciting week. Our days have been filled with children from morning to evening. We wake up, eat breakfast, do our devotions, and then head off to the children. It has been such a good experience as we have been able to give a presentation to hundreds of little Filipino children over the past week.

We are having a banquet with the Philippines staff and students tonight. Roasted pig and other Filipino food is to be enjoyed along with the many desserts and soda. It’s going to be our farewell time with the people we have grown to really enjoy.

We pack up and head to our ferry tomorrow afternoon as we start our journey back to our homeland. The team members will miss the Philippines but many are ready to be back in the States.

Please pray for safety and good weather as we travel. Also pray for opportunities to continue to share the gospel of Christ as we travel. We have a night in Cebu, Singapore, and a 10-hour layover in LAX.

  2. Yeah!!!! Go Team Philippines!!!!!! Matthew 25:23 ~ ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’`
I will be praying for safe travel and that everyone keeps staying well. Such along, long journey…..
I am so happy everyone has had so many good experiences! I got my first letter from the Philippines today! So HAPPY!!!! After the tears of joy, I read it several more times. It really made my day! 😀
    Blessings! And ((((Hugs))))) from Minnesota!

  3. I’m so happy you are leaving with a banquet! There’s nothing so sweet as Christians breaking bread together and fellowshipping one last time before parting. Did your team ever receive mail? May God hem you in behind and before and lay His hand upon you and keep you in His care as you travel back to the States.

  4. We will be praying that God will give you all a safe journey home and also give you more opportunities to see God work in your lives. Once you leave, the only bond you will share with these children are Jesus and the memories. May God seal both of these in you by the Holy Spirit.
