We drove from the South Africa base to the Zimbabwe border which took six hours. When we arrived, we waited to hear if our national staff in Zimbabwe got the clearance to bring their vehicle across to meet us near the gates.  They did not get the permission so we carried out luggage 200 feet, making multiple trips, got our passports stamped to leave South Africa and then carried the luggage another 100 feet where we we able to hire a pickup truck to carry it across the bridge into ZImbabwe.   We walked the mile with our backpacks.   Then we carried the luggage another 400 feet to the vehicle.  It took two hours to process our visas.  We did a final load of the luggage and drove the three hours to the Zimbabwe base. We arrived at 1am tired but happy to be here.

We are finding the weather dry and cold.  It is about 75-80 in the day and 40 at night.  This base is beautiful! We love watching the baboons up on the balancing rocks. At night the stars are incredible!!

We attended a church Sunday—the walk was about 20 minutes. The church was full with about 800.  The team divided into different Sunday school classes and had a great time. We did sing a song.  We got back to he base at about 1:00 and did our verse reviews.  Our team is doing great with the verses.

Today was our first day of ministry and we are so blessed.

We traveled in he back of the truck about an hour to one of  the MSSM Sunday school locations. We divided into teams. Jonathan, Brandon, Emileigh, Alexis, Charles, Leslie, Madison and Moriah did eyeglasses and fitted 25 people with eyeglasses. Jenny, Maddie, Abby, Grayson, Hannah, Elizabeth and Sadie ran the medical clinic. We put eye drops in, gave out some cough medicine and rubbed deep heat on many older knees and hands.  We prayed with each person. Then we went to a school and ran an hour puppet show, did games and songs with over 100 children. We loved it. We returned tired but blessed.

We have a few who are coming down with minor colds due to the weather changes.

So far the team is loving the food the people we are meeting and learning to love each other more.

Thank you so much parents and prayer partners for your prayers!!!!
