The Forest Angels team had a great trip to Ocala. We spent four days at a beautiful campsite right beside a lake. The team members and leaders got several opportunities to swim during free time. The team members enjoyed catching minnows with their bare hands. Ally and Thai were especially good at catching them. Evening devotions were everyones’ favorite part of the day. The campfire that Nathan and Jude worked hard to build, as well as the beautiful scenery, made for a very pleasant atmosphere. Drew and Elias gave great testimonies when it was their turn to lead. On the final night we played an intense game of Manhunt after evening devotions. Isaac demonstrated exceptional creativity, speed and stealth as he frustrated the hunters who were trying to find him. On Saturday the team spent the day riding the trails on the minibikes. Diego and Nick really enjoyed the ride after adjusting to the loose sand and difficult terrain. The scenery was beautiful and the team saw three black bears! For our evangelism project in Ocala, we decided to have a Sunday picnic. We went door-to-door in a nearby neighborhood inviting people, which Rosalyn and Austin really enjoyed. It rained Sunday but that didn’t dampen the team’s spirits. Jayden and Jordyn played lots of games with the children that came. It was a great trip and everyone wishes we could’ve stayed longer.
When I first came here I didn’t think I would like it. Right now I really like it here. I know for sure that I’m gonna come back again. -Jayden
Riding the minibikes at Ocala was fun. Going door-to-door inviting people to the picnic was a great experience too.-Jude
God has been teaching me patience and how to listen with all the SBs I have been getting. In my devotions I saw a verse that will help me both here and at home. It is Proverbs 11:18 “The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.”-Nathan
