The Korea team is packed and ready to board our bus to the airport tomorrow morning. It has been an amazing week of both ministry and sightseeing this week. We spent Monday and Tuesday conducting the last of our English camps at a local church. We had 28 kids show up who ranged in ages from 8-15. We spent the day working on basic English vocabulary & conversational skills. The team used puppets & the wordless bracelets to share the gospel. Many team members enjoyed working with the oldest age group because they were able to use Bible stories and integrate them into their conversational classes. The children enjoyed singing “Rock, Sword and Shield” with the team members. We were blessed to give out the last of our English books that we brought along with us to this final group of students. It was exciting to see them looking/reading through the books, many of which were about biblical stories or the life of Christ.
The last two days have been spent sightseeing. The team enjoyed ending their summer ministry time here in this way. They visited Seoul and saw Gyeongbokgung Place where the last dynasty of Korea resided, shopped for souvenirs and finished the night with dinner and watching the sunset at Namsung Tower. Today the missionaries blessed the team by taking them to a local watermark and then enjoyed a traditional Korean BBQ. The team enjoyed relaxing and fellowshiping with our missionaries in this way. We cannot even begin to express how wonderful it has been to enjoy the Korean hospitality and received the blessings from such a wonderful missionary family.
As we mentioned earlier, please pray for the team for the next 48 hrs as we travel from Korea to the US, via Germany. \Pray that the team members will not lose sight of what the Lord has taught us here in South Korea and pray that the team members will not focus on returning home but instead continue to seek out what God is teaching them through Debrief next week.
