Dear Friends and Family,
Shalom to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we sincerely send our greetings to you all the family of God.
It’s a pleasure to appreciate God for His grace for enabling us to go successfully through the month of August with great things that the Lord God has done in our lives down here in the Pearl of Africa, Uganda. We did our introduction ceremony (a cultural ceremony where the father gives the bride away) on the 21st of August in Kaliro district, Bukumankoola Village, about 78 kilometer away from Teen Missions base in Nakabango. It was quite challenging in the beginning to get to the place due to the lack of transport, but all in all God made a way where it seemed there was no way for us that day, and by the grace of God the introduction ceremony was successful. The event was tremendous because of the power of the almighty God and His provision and protection upon us. “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them – yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me (I Corinthians 15:10).” Although things were not easy for us financially, God Himself intervened in our situation and all went well.
On 22nd of August 2015 another wonderful event happened in our life. Our wedding was colorful by the mercy of the almighty God. “I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live (Psalm 116:1-2).”
As it’s written in the scripture Genesis 2:24, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” That day was a glorious moment in our life because God made it possible for us to be wedded on that day.
We do appreciate all the friends and families who stood with us financially or prayed towards our wedding ceremony and may God almighty richly bless the work of your hands. We request you to continue to pray for us for God’s provision and protection, because we still have some bills to pay for the things we used during the function. The total is $700 which in Uganda shillings is 2.2million. We are trusting God for this and if there is any good samaritan out there to bridge the gap for us, that will be of great praise to our financial challenge. It’s not an easy task to be a young couple in the missionary field without financial support, but we believe by faith God will make a way out as we serve Him here in Uganda at TMI base in Nakabango. And also pray for my wife’s health as she is not feeling well this week having cough, headache and flu.
1. Good Health
4. Pray for God to provide us with land to construct a house.
5. Pray for our time with TMI to be a blessing to everyone we reach.
Thank you may the Lord bless you all.
Yours in Christ Jesus,
Innocent & Suzan Sebit
