Bland, Bob & Bernie Newsletter (Fall 2015)

Bland Staff NewsletterDear Family and Friends,

STeenmissio15100911421_0001What a summer of blessings! The teams had a large number of people who received Christ as their Savior. The Indiana Fair Team at Evansville, Indiana with TTT Ministries had a tent at about a dozen county fairs and led 254 to Christ. Malawi recorded over 1,000 decisions from the TMI Malawi Boot Camp teams. TMI runs 25 Boot Camps around the world.

First of June we moved to Boot Camp to run the Leaders’ Seminar and the two Teen, one Preteen (ages 10-13), Peanut (7-9 year olds) and Mustard Seed (4-6 year olds) Boot Camps. They ended July 11. After taking down Boot Camp, Bernie and I drove to Schwenksville, PA and had a “Mission at My House” with former staff Ralph and Connie Owens. Connie’s brother, Jeff Shell, as pastor of an EC Church came. Jeff, “chocolate boy”, from Hershey, Pennsylvania went on several teams as a team member and leader. It was great to see him again after many years.

IMG_0772Next to Ohio…where we stayed with Bernie’s sister in Chillicothe. Bernie was ill most of the summer and couldn’t travel with me, which I missed, but it was good that I had someone to care for her when I was on the road. I attended and spoke at three state councils of the Christian Union Churches in Ohio, Indiana and Missouri. I also spoke at Wilson Chapel in Indiana and Prairie Ridge and Rayville in Missouri. The people at all the places were great, and I enjoyed each one. In Ohio, I spoke at Bethlehem Church, Wapakaneta, Garden City in Lima, Waverly Bible Christian, Alma Methodist, Mt. Tabor and Denver Chapel. Plus I attended two Bland Reunions and most important of all, we oversaw the National Crawdad Race in the Alma Astrodome! It finally made the Waverly Watchman paper! Joe Stubbs sent me the copy.

IMG_0427Both Bernie and I took two trips to the hospital. Mine was a sinus infection that went down into my neck. It was very painful. But, I’m doing fine now. Bernie continues to have back and leg problems. In the office we are now working on the 2016 summer teams for the brochure. They put the initial small copy on the web and 154 are already registered. We are only running one Super Teen Boot Camp next year plus the other three Boot Camps. We need volunteers to help. If you can come, call us at 321-453-0350 or email [email protected] to let us know. The dates are June 18-July 3. We need help of all kinds.

In Christ,

Bob & Bernie Bland
