Psalm 29:11

Dear Friends, Family and Former Team Members,

Well, this is our last prayer letter before the summer. There is so much to say and so little space!

Our family is doing well. Colton is working hard at the community college on getting his grades up so that he doesn’t have an increase in his insurance rates :)! He is still not sure what area of study he wants to pursue. He does not want to go away to school and incur loans. He is working at Sbarro’s Pizza in the mall and is enjoying making some money to fill his gas tank! He is planning on volunteering some this summer during Boot Camp. He is staying home alone this summer and we are hoping we come back to our home still intact. Please pray for wisdom in his school decisions and that he will be sensitive to God’s leadings in this area. Pray for safety this summer and that there will not be any issues with the house or his car.

Danae GradIt is so hard to believe that Danae will be graduating from high school on May 19. I am so not ready for this next phase in her life…But she is so ready to be done with high school. She is still attending community college full time during her senior year and is doing very well. The college hunt boiled down to three choices: Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA, Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, and Columbia International University in Columbia, SC. Although she received a Community Development scholarship from Covenant, it was not the highest one. They did offer her a good financial aid package, but what was left to pay seemed to be out of her/our reach. She was accepted to Wheaton the last week in March and received her financial aid package the very next week. I will never forget the look on her face when she 12938290_1106019446109838_139545368985202004_nopened that envelope. We were shocked at the generous package offered. The package did offer a huge amount in scholarships and grants along with some loans; we still have to come up with $7,500 for the year, but we KNOW God is faithful and will provide. She was also accepted to Columbia International, but she after much prayer and counsel, she feels the Lord is leading her to Wheaton. Of course, it is the school which is the farthest away…Her $300 enrollment deposit is due the first week in May. She walked in my room one day and was rolling up dollar bills and putting them in a coke bottle. I asked her what in the world was she doing and she replied that she was saving for the deposit. If she put it in the bank, it would too easy to spend. This STeenmissio16021711511way, she would have to break the bottle to spend it. Her Wheaton counselor called her last week and someone anonymously donated the enrollment deposit. This was just another confirmation that she was going exactly where God was leading her. She is really looking forward to being an assistant leader with us on the India Team and she has all of her support (THANK YOU!!!). Please pray for wisdom, grace and a lot of love for the kids on the India team. Please pray that she will continue to seek the Lord in every area of her life, especially as she navigates her way through college. And please pray for us as parents as we have to let her go.

BJ has his driver’s license! My prayer life has greatly increased! He is also working hard in school to keep his grades up so that his insurance rates don’t increase! 🙂 His club soccer season is winding down. He is really looking forward to going to Madagascar this summer. Praise the Lord, he has all of his support! Please pray that he will finish his sophomore year strong and with good grades. Sometimes he has difficulty taking tests, so please pray for clarity in his test taking during these last few weeks. Please pray for health and safety this summer while on his team.

Lindsay will be graduating from the University of Tennessee this spring with a degree in Social Work. She will be working somewhere in Tennessee. Please pray for her in her job hunt. Please pray that she will seek the Lord in every area of her life.

Danae-9406We have 30 team members (the largest team this year) and four other leaders and we are excited about going back to India! We will spend half of the summer working at an orphanage and the other half working at the Teen Missions In India base building a security wall. Please pray for wisdom and grace and a lot of love for the team members and other leaders. Some of these kids will have deep scars from their past and they need to experience the love of God in a very tangible way. Please pray for unity in our leadership and for health and safety for us and our team.

Thank you so much for your prayers and sacrificial giving that allows us to serve Him this summer. God is doing some amazing things through this ministry and we are thankful to be a part of it! Thank you for praying for and supporting our kids through their many years of mission trips. It is such an encouragement to our whole family!

In Christ,

Paul, Beth, Lindsay, Colton, Danae and BJ Kostner
