Spend your summer serving God in the dynamic country of Peru, “The Land of the Incas”.
Dates: June 17 – August 4, 2017
Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)
Travel: After finishing your training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you will bus to the Miami International Airport for a flight across the Straits of Florida, Cuba, the Caribbean Sea and the Equator before arriving in Lima, the capital of Peru. A connecting flight will take you over the Andes Mountains to your destination of Pucallpa, a small, beautiful jungle city located on the Ucayali River in the Amazon River Basin.
Ministry: Your project will be to help the El Shaddai Bible Missionary Church by continuing construction on a dining room so that those attending will have a nice place to eat. This will be a blessing as many children visit the church to learn about the Bible and the love of Christ. During your free time, you may have the opportunity to share the Gospel at the local public school or a nearby orphanage using puppets, drama, music and personal testimonies. Housing will be in dorms; showers are available. Laundry will be done using buckets.
Adventure: A boat ride on the Ucayali River will give you an opportunity to see how the people live along the river. You may also walk to the river market where you can barter for amazing handcrafted spears, bags, paintings and more!
Estimated Project Expense: $3590—3790 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee
Note: Updated Project Expense is scheduled to post November 1, 2016, after confirming airline prices.
