Native American Boot Camp

United StatesFrom a scenic hilltop nearly 7,000 feet above sea level you will train and disciple Native American teens to impact the vast Navajo Nation through work projects and evangelism.

 

Dates: June 13 – August 11, 2017

Teen (Ages 13-19)

Travel:  Upon arrival at Teen Missions (TMI) in Merritt Island, Florida, this special FTM (former team member) team will take a day to pack and will then travel by TMI bus nearly 2,000 miles across Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico to Tse Bonito, home of Western Indian Ministries (WIM).

Ministry:  The team will prepare the Obstacle Course and class locations for Boot Camp and will assist with construction, drama, music and puppet classes. Additional projects will include development of the hilltop camp for WIM and outreaches at local JMI (Just Move It) 5K races taking place across the reservation.  

Adventure:  An opportunity to experience the beauty of the Colorado Plateau will include a visit to Grand Canyon National Park. You will also visit the Navajo Nation Museum and the famous WWII Code Talkers Memorial at Window Rock, Arizona. A variety of souvenirs are available at local shops at the Four Corners Monument — the only location in the USA where you can stand in four states at once! Afterwards, you will travel back to Florida for debrief.

NOTE: This team is limited to Former Team Members (FTMs) of TEEN teams only!

Project Expense: $3190 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

  2. hey, so I was wondering if all FTMs are allowed on this trip, or only FTMs suggested by their previous leader?

  3. Hey, I was wondering if you have to be approved to go on this trip or if any FTM can go on this missions trip? I am an FTM and am very interested in this one.

    • You need to have a favorable review from your past teams leaders. I was on this team, and this is honestly the best team ever. I would recommend it to anyone. If you have any incling of signing up, take a leap of faith and trust the lord. I can’t explain to you how great this team is.

  4. So do you need to be approved by your former leader, or can any FTM sign up for this trip?

  5. So for this team, do you have to get approved by your former leaders, or do you just sign up already being an FTM and you’re ready to go?
