Greetings from Honduras! The team has reached the Teen Missions base near Santa Cruz, Honduras. Travelling went without a hitch (thank You, God!) and everyone is sleepy but excited to have reached our destination.
The Sunday night commissioning service at Boot Camp was a special send-off, after spending the day helping to take down the camp and our own tent site. Monday we drove by bus to the Orlando airport, and because it was the Fourth of July there were a great many fireworks displays to watch during the drive. We had a short night’s sleep in the airport and checked into our flight at 4 a.m. We had a lay-over in Panama City and then flew into San Pedro Sula, Honduras that afternoon. After a few hours bus ride, we were welcomed by the Teen Missions Bible school students and TMI staff at the base. They had made us a yummy meal of rice, beans, and fried plantains with a cream sauce. The team members are currently unpacking and helping to stock up the kitchen for breakfast. Aside from a few mild colds and a bit of motion sickness, everyone is healthy. Please continue to pray for team unity, guidance as we plan our two week adventure in the mountains (which begins Friday!), and the health and spiritual growth of all of us.
