Free at Last! The Forest Angels are finally getting to see the Fruit if their labors!
First of all, we’ve been blessed by the testimonies of several team members during our evening rallies. Thank you Kayla, Haley Kay, and Eli for sharing what God is doing in your lives.
This morning at Calvary Chapel, Merritt Island, FL, the Forest Angels were able to present the Gospel in song, puppets, and drama for the Children’s Worship Service.
After much hard work, the team pulled together and we excited to see how God can use them to minister to others through evangelism. For some, this was the moment they had been waiting for through all their training at Boot Camp and durning their time in the “field”.
The team started their presentation with the song “Amazing Grace”, followed by introductions. Then the team sang “Whether it Rains.”
This was followed by a puppet presentation “Child of the King” by Shane, Keaton, Haley Kay, Nathan, Chloe, Esther, Grace, and Anica; with Kayla and Chaz serving as stage hands (literally) and Dalton on the Saber.
After the puppet presentation, Anica led the team in singing “He’s my Rock, my Sword, my Shield.”
Nathan, Grace, Ruth, and Anica then shared their testimonies about how they came to Christ.
A drama called “Colors” presented the Gospel and was performed by Nathan, Shane, Grace, Anica, and Bode; with Dalton again on the Saber.
Rounding out the presentation was the song “There’s No One Like Jesus” in both English and Bembe.
This afternoon, all team members are working hard on their verse review. All team members are required to learn 19 verses over the course of the summer, and on Sunday’s they are to review a number of required verses. Today, team members had to review the first 8 verses. As of the time I left to type this, there were only 2 left to finish their reviews.
KP- Kitchen Patrol- is a duty shared by all team members, divvied out in their count off order. So far we have been blessed by the service of Josh, Kayla, Haley Kay, Eli, Esther, Dalton, and Ruth. We sure appreciate the life skills they are learning and demonstrating in the areas of food service!
Mini bikes…the Forest Angels have all shown proficiency on the mini bikes and are bound for Ocala National Forest tomorrow after lunch to minister to those camped and living along the trails of Ocala. It’s been a fun adventure getting everyone trial-ridable and we are excited to get on those bikes and share the Gospel! Pray for many doors of opportunity for these young people, and safety!!!!
Until next time….
