Good Morning from all of us to you! We just finished up our devos and are preparing to hike up to the highest point in the city that overlooks Belfast. We plan to pray over the city and all the Summer Schemes we will be doing next week! Looks like it might be a chilly walk, but we’re looking forward to getting some fresh air. It’s still a holiday here in Northern Ireland so there’s not much that we can do today, but we look forward to getting back into a schedule tomorrow.
On Monday night we were able to help out at a community event at Adam Street Mission. There were around 200 people from the surrounding neighborhoods who came to celebrate their national holiday. The team helped man the bounce houses as well as play with some of the kids and help set up and take down different tents. Yesterday the team enjoyed seeing of some of the holiday festivities by going into Belfast and watching some native marching bands, flute bands, and accordion band march down the streets in the city. Needless to say, the were worn out when they returned to the City Mission!
This week the team has been preparing for the Summer Schemes next week; putting together skits, puppet shows, and other Bible stories. They will be the ones who run most of the program and they are definitely looking forward to the hands-on experience and being more involved! I think they will do very well!
