Busy week for N. Ireland team

This week has been a busy one! We finished up the Summer Schemes at Abbey Presbyterian Church. Six little kiddos wanted to accept Christ into their hearts the last day we were there! What a blessing and encouragement to the team. We were treated to a delicious meal Thursday evening by Justine’s mom (Justine was the youth worker in charge of the Summer Scheme at Abbey), before our final day of Kids Club. Today (Sunday) was our last service that we did with them…we will miss them immensely!

On Saturday we went into Belfast for a sightseeing day. The team got to take a tour of City Hall, shop for more souvenirs, enjoy some of the local patisserie’s and chip shops, and lastly walk through the Titanic Experience! We got to tour the SS Nomadic as well, the last surviving ship of the White Star Line ships. I must admit, we were all a bit tearful as we walked through the last part of the Titanic Experience. It truly is a heartbreaking story to hear people’s own personal encounters told.

Today we are taking time to relax a little before our last week of Summer Schemes. They will be here in Rathcoole and the Belfast City Mission where we are staying. It will make it easy since we won’t have to be transported anywhere! The team is having a hard time wrapping their minds around the fact that they head back to Florida in a week! I’m not sure if we’re ready or not? Praying for you all daily.

With love,

The Northern Ireland Team
